It would be nice able to link messages directly into a What's App business account A cheap alternative to sms messages.

I'd like to upvote this :-) is this the place to add my support to this request?
WhatsApp is really great for guest and team communication - we could not run our properties in Greece without it and we're going to be embarking on adding it to our Chicago properties.

We have to use this to communicate with our guest in Mexico. ITS FREE! OR lets get this working! Would be AMAZING!! You guys are genius you can do it!
I have upvoted this but want to add a comment on how important this is: The OR SMS system does not work with anything but US phone numbers (and Canadian).
We get failure messages for all of our guests who aren't from the US - and we end up having to create a seperate chat group to communicate with them. I have to manually send eveything that is auto scheduled in OR. This is a big issue for those of us who have non-US based guests.

I wanted to take a second to thank you for your insight, we have some exciting changes in development regarding SMS that I can't discuss too much about. But I wanted to let you know we are making steady progress towards fixing these issues and several others.

Is this something which will be possible? It's really the only way guests want to communicate in Spain, 95% of our guests come from different European countries and this preference basically makes OR messages or emails redundant and not helpful in streamlining all the Comms we have each day.

How about for Signal as well, which is far more reliable for privacy and has more privacy features than WhatsApp?
Signal and Telegram too. I'm traveling in Mexico now and everyone uses WhatsApp. Having an SMS integration would be next to useless here. Increasingly I am also using WhatsApp for messaging people with Android phones (I have an iPhone), because otherwise there is no way to message them on my computer, I have to pull out my phone. I don't know if the world is standardizing on WhatsApp, but it's a much better candidate, and works better, than SMS.
We're doing a lot of work around Messaging this year (which will include some SMS updates), so more to come and we'll update here as we can.
WhatsApp is still down the road a bit, but something we're planning toward.
PLEASE ADD THIS TO OWNER REZ!!! My property manager in ITALY REQUIRES all guests to send a WhatsApp message to the CHECK IN co-ordinator.
Agreed. Same in Mexico. Everything is done via WhatsApp. All guest communications happen in WhatsApp after the booking is confirmed.
I have already voted and not sure if I commented but we cannot SMS our European guests and so we use WhatsApp chat groups for them. Integration is really important because it's how we are all able to communicate. I'm also not able to SMS them their codes with OR because they have foreign cell phone numbers.
AGREED about Mexico!!! And also all over the world. We have vacation rentals in 5 countries - Italy (Venice), Mexico (Puerto Vallarta), US (Bend, OR), Canada (Whistler) & Australia (Sydney). My husband and I are also tour guides in Europe & all business communication is conducted through WhatsApp. America is really far behind in the WhatsApp game as a worldwide mode of communication.
Yes, we also need WhatsApp integration.
You can add this yourself to your website. Do not need Ownerrez. Add the whatsapp icon somewhere in your website and hyperlink it to your property manager's whatsapp
Totally agree. Whatsapp business is our daily business tool. It will be great to have integration with OwnerRez
That's a great suggestion for inquires but we need it for communication with booked guests. This is for automated messages that we schedule as SMSs.
