Onboarding Specialist

Our Onboarding Team is hiring a confident communicator who thrives on helping new customers succeed from day one. In this role, you’ll lead live video sessions with brand-new users, guiding them through setup, setting expectations, and teaching them how to confidently navigate OwnerRez.

We’re looking for someone who loves to teach, can simplify complex systems, and knows how to turn first impressions into long-term success. This is a fully remote position open to candidates within U.S. time zones, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package.


Job Overview

As an Onboarding Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping new customers successfully launch with OwnerRez. You will guide property managers through the initial setup of their accounts, ensure their properties are configured correctly, and equip them with the knowledge and confidence to use the platform effectively.

This role includes leading multiple daily video onboarding sessions, reviewing customer accounts in detail, answering questions clearly and confidently, and proactively identifying gaps that could impact long-term success. Strong communicators who can simplify complex systems and take ownership of outcomes will thrive here.

As you grow in experience, responsibilities may expand to include handling support tickets, assisting with advanced configurations, and contributing to cross-team initiatives that improve retention and reduce churn.

This is a fully remote position within U.S. time zones. OwnerRez is a growing SaaS company with a strong culture of internal promotion and career development.

Experience with OwnerRez or short-term rental software is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Configure and optimize OwnerRez accounts using client-provided information, publicly available data, and internal best practices to ensure successful launches.

  • Lead live onboarding sessions via video conference, walking new clients through account setup, system navigation, and core workflows.

  • Conduct detailed account reviews, proactively identifying configuration gaps and recommending improvements to support long-term success.

  • Respond to client support inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and urgency.

  • Communicate clearly with clients across email, video and phone to build confidence and trust.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Support, Product, and other internal teams to resolve issues and improve onboarding outcomes.

  • Participate actively in company meetings and maintain consistent communication using internal productivity tools.

  • Contribute to documentation improvements and share feedback that enhances onboarding processes and reduces churn.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and company goals.

As you gain expertise, you may:

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in specific areas of OwnerRez.

  • Mentor junior team members.

  • Lead group training sessions and webinars for clients.

This is a remote position within U.S. time zones. All team members are required to attend our annual in-person company work week, with travel and lodging expenses fully covered by the company.


Required Qualifications

Professional, courteous, and client-focused demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with OwnerRez or STR software

Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, private workspace within U.S. time zones

Comfortable leading live client video calls daily, with occasional phone communication as needed

Highly detail-oriented while maintaining efficiency and forward momentum

Able to stay composed and solution-focused in dynamic or fast-moving situations

Strong critical thinker who can apply sound judgment and experience to new or unfamiliar scenarios

Previous experience in customer-facing roles
