So if my rent is $1000, and booking/damage deposit is $300, here is what I do.
    1. 1st payment (if more than 30 days out) = $300 (deposited to my bank) = this amount also equal my damage deposit
    2. balance payment (at 30 days mark) = $ 1000 (deposited to my bank)
    3. renter check in and stays.
    4. renter leaves and we check for damages
    5. if no damages I issue a refund for $300 (debited from my...

Not yet and more's the pity. Still very much needed and a highly requested To Do on our roadmap. The last couple years were filled with deviations for channel integration. When we finally got HA and Airbnb to the table, we spent 90% of our time doing what they needed. It ate up about 2 years of time. Thanks for the nudge on this.

    The questions are:
    1) I would like it to be bookable by the Hour/MultiHour/Half Day/Day --> is this possible to do this as an "Event Center" with current functionality?
    2) Events often add-on options such as catered / musician / photography service / etc. --> it is ok if is is simple description, but how would this be associated with the Event Center?

Is there a way to add fields to renter agreement so that renter is forced to enter/update them before hitting "accept"?

There are two reports with this info:

#1 - Listing Site Fees report. That shows both host and guest fees, line by line.

#2 - Line Item Pivot report. That shows the host fees plus all other surcharges and a bunch of other info, one row per booking.

I'm curious how many owners are planning on including this coverage. In the past year I've had about 100 bookings and if I had paid $27/booking I'd be out $2700. Maybe I've been lucky, but I had maybe one broken glass in the year. Now maybe there could have been a broken window or TV or countertop, but I imagine most years I won't have any significant claims per each 100 bookings.

    I’m a little confused.
    1. We don’t need to do anything it will be placed on our listing that we get booked direct from us. (Not other platforms)
    2. We the host will be charged a fee and how much?
    3. But we can put it as maintenance fee and have guest pay for it.
    4. Do we get charged for the bookings from AIRBNB and VRBO?

    Hi Cathy,

    Answers:

    1) Yes, and also on bookings from other channels unless you turn that off.

    2) The fee is shown in the table above where it shows the "Premium" amount

    3) Yes

    4) Yes if you want. You can turn it off for those channels, but we encourage it for all bookings including platform. The advertised coverage that VRBO and AIrbnb claim is different and not the same type of protection....

...o dogs. So this is what I am doing:

    1) My contract makes it clear they are banned. I am assuming this will block many fake service animals. I also assume it will prevent some real service animals.
    2) If someone shows up with an animal, I will grill the owners to ensure it is a real service animal. Essentially, you ask the two legal questions, and watch for behaviour that is wrong (jumping up, u...

I wish I didn't have to, but I find venmo and the like convenient. especially since it cannot be charged back!! I started incentivising payments by check/venmo/zelle because I already had 2 cc charge backs this year - one despite rental agreement that he signed and everything, the other via BDC when she booked and paid after cancellation window. Since she could not cancel, she just char...

    ...through the public beta phase.

The eventual price structure will be a flat rate per month or per booking. For instance:

    1) $30-40 per month for 1-5 properties, tiering up after that per property.

    2) $5 per booking with no monthly rate. So if you have 3 bookings this month, you'd be charged $15 at the end of the month.

Which of those two models do you like better? Or should owners be allowed...
