Happy Friday! 😃This will be our final industry news for 2020, since the holidays are next week!🎄We hope everyone can spend some safe, quality time with their families. We will be winding things down until after the new year, but don't worry! We'll still be around if something catastrophic happens.
We would like to thank everyone for a fantastic year, despite all of the craziness that has been g...
...est that might be in house on garbage day I could have 7 triggers that would send the garbage message but it would be based on the number of days AFTER they had arrived.
Not sure what happens for 2 or 3 or longer week guests without creating a lot more of these....
Am I getting this right Anne?
Garbage day is Wednesday and I want to send the guest a message on Tuesday...
When arrivi...
...blush, because it's entirely contrary to the way all the other messages work. They occur when either a specific event occurs (booking is created) or at a specific time relative to a known time (e.g. 2 days before Arrival).
Something triggered on a particular day of the week is neither. So we have to design a whole new system to handle that situation, which is of course absolutely possible, it...
...then be automated by OR, but I can't see how do create it as it looks like all the triggers are linked to the booking rather than week day plus not sure how to alternate the trigger - I guess create 2 triggers, but then it needs to be linked to a specific weekday and even/odd week numbers?
Second to that if the trigger can be created, is it correct clicksend can be used to turn this triggered...
Yep I use it and it's awesome!! But I can't see how to have 2 different messages? you could leave a calendar on the fridge/guidebook?
Here is the message i send:
Hi {CFIRST},
Just a reminder.... {PXGARBAGE}
I have a custom field for each property with the garbage instructions. Here is a sample of one:
Thanks for being eco-friendly legends! 🌿♻️
Garbage day is tomorrow Monday - Please put...
I'm wondering how much of the issues with property setup and payments is at least partially solved by ownerrez? by Kraig M (/forums/users/347440676) – Feb 14, 2024 2:51 AM (UTC)
That's an excellent question. The answer right now is - basically none. But, a vastly improved Booking.com API connection is actively in work by OwnerRez engineers, so hopefully later this quarter or perhaps early 2...
...ter it expires (selected date). Dealing with temporary discounts happens often to us, this way the list does not get flooded and is tidy and reduces the checking of every custom discount/surcharge.

Adding a "Booked between" criteria instead of selecting dates "On", or digging into the seasons and/or holidays.
the "is" could be two date selectors.
"Current" view of bookings could be extremely useful, however, in the current setup, it's completely useless for us.
We've 15 apartments and 2-3 night stays are allowed so our manager who greets the guests on the field can't use the "Current" view because the list is too long since check-ins and check-outs from yesterday, today and tomorrow and also already staying guests are all included in th...
...ght, will VRBO override the min nights and still allow it to be booked?
Example: Wed/Thur are booked; Fri is open; Sat/Sun/Mon are booked (but Fri still has the original 3 night min set)
2) Is it possible using spot rates in OR to only update min nights, without affecting the rates? Since this year I've gotten my winter season rates set early I've gotten some fri/sat nights only boo...
What if you restrict gaps between 2 and 4 nights? So a 1 night gap or 5+ night gap would be fine. Like so:

You can do a 1 day block. It starts at checkin and ends at checkout, so it goes over a night, so it looks like 2 days but that’s how reservation systems work. Guests don’t book days, they book nights. So in effect, a 1-day block is really a 1-night block.
It would not make sense to block 1 day, really. I guess you’d be saying a guest staying the previous day would have to check out at midnight an...
...tup as outlined in this article:
1) Enter matching hotel id in OwnerRez on the property settings for the booking.com channel
2) Go to booking.com and request connection with OwnerRez as channel manager
3) We approve the connection
4) You go back to booking.com and confirm the connection
5) You go back to OwnerRez and map the...
VRBO will NOT recognize that. If you set min nights to 3, and there are only 1 or 2 nights available, guests will not be able to book these.
The good news is that you can update min nights on the fly using
I can't answer the second question, I'm just not sure. But if you're using PL to set your minimum nights, I'm not sure why you wouldn't want it to update your spot r...
Im sorry - Im not getting what I should be setting up in the system.
Do I set gaps to 1?
Say I have a 1-2 or 3 night gap - setting gap to 1 would allow any to be booked -correct ??

1) To get back to the default, go to Settings > Legal Agreements, create a new one, and use the Prefill from button to fill it from the default.
2) Like @BlueMtnCabins said, Airbnb specifically allows a renter agreement as long as you disclose that in the rules:
