Happy Christmas-Week Hump Day! I looked for a camel wearing a Santa hat, but evidently the emoji world is not yet that complete. We skipped last week's update, so we've got a fresh slate of 26 updates to go through. Let's get to it!

For a long time, users have asked us if we could create a plugin for WordPress, so that they cou...
...r every payment made. The balance is auto-charged on the due date. I have been doing this for years.
Is the option for this any closer to being done? It’s a real need and been in the works since 2017/2018? by TopWater Real Estate Team . (/forums/users/347401992) – Sep 2, 2023 11:01 AM (UTC)
...would be an alert if the guest falls behind on their payment. The expected payment would hopefully show up in reporting for future income too

This is set and forget. Once you take the 1st payment on day X (usually when the guest books), the guest's credit card is recorded in OR; The guest gets a payment receipt with...
...ither 100% up front or 50% up front) which then doesn't align with the payment terms in your rental agreement (1/3 up front and 1/3 every month on the 30th or whatever that particular rental is). And 2) It requires you to manually adjust this for every booking. If you don't mind those it may work for you.
Hopefully OR gets this into development as I know it would benefit a lot of owners.

The quote page will say whatever is in the property rules. If the property rules are set up to be 1/3 upfront, that is what it will say. You can adjust your property rule to your...
Any update on this feature?
The speed of new feature adds is painfully slow. It appears that other PMs are iterating and adding features 2-3x faster. At this pace OR won't be the "go to PMS" for much longer. I really hope there's some plans in place to hire more Devs to keep up.
...sults} contains text string "Jerko Bonebrain" or "654 Bonehead Avenue, Loserville, AR"
Or: {AI-photoidscan_facialrecognition} matches any {guest_photo_id} which is tagged "Banned"
Those 2 items would have to be AI generated results fields, which currently do not exist in OR, that have the ability to scan uploaded government IDs.
It's going to be impossible to stop everyone but for...
I know this may be counter productive but is there a way to turn off "automatic" third party alerts so I can send these manually?
I try to give my cleaning staff 1 - 2 weeks notice of incoming guests vs at the time of booking so they are "current" with my guest list.
Thx for any input,
Jim
Is it possible to set rules for different rate periods? For example, I'd like to force a full week in my peak season but only 2 days in my offseason?
I'd also like to have it be 7 days for next peak season but 3 days for this peak season (as an example). This matters because I want to turn on rules and auto responders for this peak season but not for next peak season because I don't want people...
Hi Michelle,
I know we spoke of this previously, however, I just wanted to see if when becomes available, if it will include a few things...
1) Font options
2) Color options
3) Size options
4) Be able to add pictures in the letter
I believe I gave you an example of what I send out. I believe it is important to be "different" and stand out in our quotes, as owners. If we are all th...
And FYI - to get around this problem there are several things you can do...
1) Send another follow-up trigger the day of arrival to your 3rd parties. Something like "Arrival day summary"
2) Use our Calendar Export feature to share custom iCal links with them
3) Use our Availability calendar widgets on your web site to show them the real-time calendar
But again, we are working to fix the trigge...
...might be confusing to the guest. I would do the following:
1) When you see a booking come in from FlipKey or Airbnb, create a manual booking in OwnerRez that matches (same dates, guest name, etc)
2) Make the charges the same as what FlipKey/Airbnb charged the guest, and create a payment (type of "Credit Card Processed Elsewhere") for the total amount so that the booking balance is $0. This is...
Hi Michelle,
I've set up an email. Thank you.
A couple of follow up question. If I enter a booking in ownerrez manualy that was taken from external site (example via Flipkey or HA), and then provide a link to submit security deposit.
1. Is it still a "hold" on the card? Or an actual payment?
2. Do the guest signs the rental agreement again here on OWnerRez, or not?

...oking dates, then nothing will show and the guest will be instructed to "contact you directly for payment".
To make the check method show up, set the rules to be more lenient on the number of days.
2) You don't have any payment methods set for the property of the quote in question. If you view your payment methods, they will show which payment methods are set for which properties.
Do either of...
