Any recent good/bad/any experiences with filing claims with Rental Guardian? (the posts I have found are 4 years old)? I filed a claim at the end of August for a broken light fixture and a stained rug. A several weeks passed and I had not heard anything. Emailed their support to find out they had requested additional documentation, however never notified me and there is no portal OR users can log into to see the status (they are "working on it"). I provided the requested information, waited a couple weeks or more and....yup, same thing. They requested more info, but didn't notify me. This continued to occur until the claim was finally approved on 11/20, for which I did receive a notification. It is now 14 days later, no payment, no additional communication...
The value of the amount of time I have spent on this is greater than the claim amount! The process for charging me for the protection on each rental seems to be working great. The claims process seems to be designed to make you give up.
Has anyone had a good experience with RG? Any alternatives anyone recommends (currently only have 2 properties)? Thanks!
