⚠️ Allow More Customization for Booking Pages to Match Website Branding. ⚠️

We’ve been implementing OwnerRez on our site (Canyon of the Ancients Guest Ranch). While the booking widget is fairly customizable and can be styled closely to match our website, we’ve noticed a significant issue once guests proceed to the OwnerRez-hosted booking page:

➡️ The booking page design looks nothing like our website — aside from the header.

➡️ Colors, fonts, and overall style revert to a generic, plain theme, which feels disconnected from the experience we carefully designed on our site.

This sudden visual shift can be a major trust breaker for guests — especially these days when people are cautious about scams and phishing attempts. Even though we can set up a custom domain (which helps a bit), the look and feel are critical to maintain trust and conversion.

🔹 Request:

  • Please allow hosts to customize the booking pages more deeply, at minimum:

    • Colors (background, button, text)

    • Fonts (or at least a few choices)

    • Basic layout or templates to match our website styling.

🔹 Why it matters:

  • Trust: Consistency between the main site and the booking page reassures guests they’re still on the right website.

  • Brand Integrity: Our brand image and guest experience don’t stop at the homepage — it should flow seamlessly through checkout.

  • Conversions: A jarring shift in design can cause hesitations and abandoned bookings.

Even limited CSS or preset theme options would be a huge improvement and would help maintain a professional, secure-looking experience all the way through the booking process.

The image uploader is not working here, but you can see what I'm talking about on our staging site: https://canyonofthestg.wpenginepowered.com/lodging-v2/cowboy-log-cabin-v2/
Then try starting a booking where it switches over to the OwnerRez Booking...

Are you using OR widgets? In that case, have you tried CSS?

Settings > Widgets > Select the widget in question > CSS is under the Options heading

I am using the widgets and understand how to use CSS to style the widgets themselves. However, what I’m referring to is the experience after the guest clicks through — when they’re pushed over to the actual OwnerRez-hosted booking and payment page.

According to OwnerRez support, we currently have no control over the styling of that page, other than being able to customize the header and footer. The core booking/payment page design (colors, fonts, layout) is locked down since it’s hosted directly by OwnerRez.

I’m coming from another reservation system that wasn’t as powerful overall as OwnerRez but did allow more control over the payment page styling, which helped maintain consistency and trust with guests.

Once I get the image upload issue sorted out, I’ll post a side-by-side comparison to show what I mean.
