Thanks for the nudge. This is our 2-year-long project(!) and it kept growing in scope, which is unlike anything we normally do. It was hard to find a cutting-off point to release with, so we kept allowing the scope creep to help get it right. Well, that time is nearing (the get-it-right part).

So i had a CC decline due to insufficient funds and another because of the bank declining the transaction. In both cases the reservation remained and they where given 24 hours to submit a new card.
Q#1 is there a way to instantly cancel the booking and not have the wait time?

We’re pushing rates +2 years, setting up seasons is the easiest way to do that.
In order to avoid guests booking in the third year, we’re setting a “Basic Price” on that channel of 5000 p/night.
Keep in mind to deselect “Rates” when you’re importing a property from AirBnB or VRBO.
I don't think we have an end to end article with all of the channels, but you basically want to:
1) Add the property
2) Fill out the photos, descriptions, amenities etc
3) Fill out rates
4) Run Tools > Listing Quality Analyzer to see what you missed
