Help using Schlage Encode on a shared internet network

I have a condo that I installed a Schlage Encode lock on. The HOA fees includes a shared, captive internet network - you connect to the network, use a password to logon, and agree to the terms and conditions. Sclage is not set up for this, so I bought a travel router. The lock seems to connect on a first try, but then will not connect again. I have all the required settings configured - I am at a loss as to how to make this work. I can't be the only one that has faced this issue - what have you done to get around your shared captive network.
