More API Controls for Channels

I am seeking engagements for more controls at the API level for times like check in and check out times and pets so I can offer more flexibility for direct bookings vs the channels.

I want to set these at the property level for my direct booking, and have a built-in setting to send different times or allowed pets to different API-integrated channels.

I agree wholeheartedly about the ability to offer channel specific check-in/out times.

This is a particularly important issue for our business and, I suspect, many other property managers operating in markets with frequent same-day turnovers.

We manage a number of larger vacation rental properties where guests typically arrive and depart on the same designated day. With larger homes accommodating multiple families, thorough cleaning, laundry, inspections, and preparation for incoming guests take considerable time. Losing even one hour of our turnover window creates a significant operational hardship, particularly during our peak season when there is little room for scheduling flexibility.

While we recognize that OwnerRez must accommodate Airbnb's requirements, we strongly believe those restrictions should not automatically dictate how we operate our properties across other booking channels or through our own direct booking website.

One of the things we have always appreciated about OwnerRez is its emphasis on flexibility, customization, and giving property managers control over how they operate their individual businesses. The ability to establish different check-in and check-out times by channel seems entirely consistent with that philosophy.

If Airbnb requires us to offer a 10 AM checkout, we may have no choice but to comply for reservations originating through that platform. However, we should still have the ability to maintain our established 9 AM checkout for Vrbo and direct reservations, where those restrictions do not apply.

Ultimately, property managers understand their own markets, staffing limitations, property sizes, and turnover requirements better than anyone. It should be up to each OwnerRez user to determine how best to manage those operational needs within the requirements of their individual booking channels.

We are not asking OwnerRez to circumvent Airbnb's rules. Rather, we are asking that Airbnb's restrictions not be imposed on our entire business simply because we use OwnerRez to manage multiple channels.

Providing channel-specific check-in and check-out settings would preserve the operational flexibility that makes OwnerRez so valuable, while still allowing full compliance with each channel's requirements.

I would strongly encourage your development team to consider this functionality as part of the upcoming Airbnb integration changes. For businesses like ours, this is not simply a matter of convenience; it directly affects our ability to deliver the level of cleanliness, preparation, and guest experience we work so hard to maintain.

Thank you for considering this request.
