I built a fully custom guest portal for my two vacation homes at Solterra Resort in Davenport, FL.
The goal was simple: one destination for everything a guest needs, finding a way to relive need for TouchStay, and I was missing the amazing features of my GuestView Guide. This is a way to have everything in one place directly from my website.
What it does:
🔐 Secure login — booking number + last name, no account creation needed
🏠 Time-locked access — property info visible 2 days before check-in, full controls unlock at 4PM arrival day, lock back down after 10AM checkout
📖 Digital guidebook — everything guests need in one place, no third party app required
🚗 Guest registration — guests submit their driver info directly through the portal
📍 Local area guide — recommendations and answers without guests having to hunt around
🌡️ Pool & spa heat — purchased directly through Stripe, zero back and forth
💡 Smart home controls — Home Assistant via Nabu Casa, one per property
🛠️ Maintenance requests — auto-routed to my property manager and pool service
🤖 AI concierge — Claude-powered with live web search for local questions
🎉 Pre-departure checklist — interactive with a little confetti at the end
