...🐪 Although, I'm getting this out late, so it's probably already past Hump Day for our European and Asian users.

Last week, we mostly worked on major updates that aren't quite finished - long term stuff - but there were a few things that went out, so let's take a second to go over them...

Give that a little click, and bam - up pops a quick quote box witha bunch of stuff prefilled for you including the rates and any rules or warnings that might prevent the guest from booking.

You can edit the quick quote and instantly see the rate and rules change.

Also in this release, a number of email changes were made that will be explained later by Sam. If you click on the Email menu, you'll see the new stuff. We went ahead and released the email changes as well since they were ready to go out.

    2.  Logs...we would like to have OR capture the logs from the lock and have them available on the lock page... similar to perhaps what you do with the credit card authorization stuff...  in particular we are looking for every time the lock is unlocked or autolocked.   This is a security thing for us.   Needing to know who is going in and out and when.

Another thought, if he's just doing his own stuff he could potentially make use of our messaging API.

He's layering his own custom built PMS over OR and trying to build out stuff that OR can already do for him. I see no reason to keep this request open. Closing it out.

...these things we have addressed with manual solutions or with an integration we created with Twilio and I know we could go further with Twilio -> Zapier -> OR but ultimately we would like to see this stuff in OR so we didn't have to develop that type of solution.

Losing a few (thousand, hundred thousand, or million) bucks (on preventable stuff) here or there is OK for them, but not for the individual owners. So apples and oranges, an inapplicable example of a "playbook" to use. I prefer to keep myself happy 1st, then the guests, which mean...

I HATE the process in place for the channel bridge...yes, it's probably just me...we go to the extension ( since chrome upgrade those are hidden, btw, and cannot figure out how to get them on my small tablet). Why can't we put all channel bridge "stuff" on one page instead of the extension...then the download...then go to another page to upload...awful.

I would love to start putting the daily checklist and date range checklist to better use, but there is so much extra stuff on there that we don't need. Such as owner name, cleaning date, guest email, etc. Could these columns be checkboxes when we run the report, similar to tags and custom fields, and we could uncheck them if we don't want the info?

Each step, just one at a time, step by step, get it properly set up and only then do I move on to the next one.

The other change to my technique is that I set aside a time to work on my OR stuff (I have a real job), I open an email and as I go through my project I type up all my questions and when I am done for the evening, I send the email and know I will likely have my answers within 24 ho...

All logical and stuff from a computers point of view, but it doesn't make much sense in the real world.

I've got a fix going in with our new prorate engine to make the min holiday nights be same or greater than minimum n...

PriceLabs has a feature to dynamically adjust your night gaps based on criteria you set.

Don't get it for that feature alone, the dynamic pricing and market pricing info will pay for itself in spades. The gap management and other stuff is icing on the cake.

@Chris: You're right about certain things like push notifications or camera integration (for cleaning checklists) though camera stuff can actually be done with regular web app. To bridge the gap on push notifications, we've kicked around the idea of having System Alerts go from email to text (or both) so that you get a text message instantly for certain things. That would help and make it so we didn'...

EDIT: Maybe you knew about that and you're referring to deeper integration - like automating triggers for that. Very high on our To Do list. we have some great stuff dropping in the next couple weeks but unified inbox, SMS and website changes are very much front and center.
