...is honestly one of the biggest gaps in PM right now.

We have a bunch of recurring property expenses like thermostats/Jervis, camera subscriptions, pest control, HVAC maintenance, and even annual stuff like smoke detectors. There is no clean way to track and bill these.

Right now it is either manual charges or tracking outside of OwnerRez, which does not scale and things get missed.

    Even so...

I believe that vacation rentals are currently done via Airbnb, vrbo, etc and not direct yet

But it would be good for your to get out on front of this, and at least review the developer stuff above. It might be something that comes soon or eventually...

But I realize there have been changes, such as recent HomeAway API

So, is doing this going to port over my OwnerRez content for each property? Is the calendar and other stuff automatic? Do the Amenities I selected get picked up automatically? What about the Owner information, short description, and other fields on the Description page?

I want to do this right once, not...

...sh diapers down the drain into the septic} etc. Ebay and Apple have huge legal departments and deal in billions of dollars. Losing a few (thousand, hundred thousand, or million) bucks (on preventable stuff) here or there is OK for them, but not for the individual owners. So apples and oranges, an inapplicable example of a "playbook" to use. I prefer to keep myself happy 1st, then the guests, which mean...

Just make a help topic pointing to this thread, or tweeze out the critical parts from top to bottom under new help topic with a useful name. But this stuff is practically gold.

Maybe put it at the beginning of the connecting to a channel menu item

Agree with Blue about the questionable value of these pricing engines. If you manually adjust for holidays, weekends and recency (eg. way far out or way close) with stuff going up and down accordingly, you don't need the dynamic engines. I thought they were based on supply at one time (eg. PriceLabs would actually crawl sites and see what dates are taken) but that's not the case. They are just going up...

Lydia - I've done the same but only $100. I guess I'm self-insuring on this stuff and not worrying too much about it. Thanks for clarifying that this insurance is for owners ;-)

    Awesome!

Yep, on the logged in site on your booking area it only searches the bookings and stuff in your account.

To search support articles, forums, and blog posts, use the search box in the support area: Yes, we know we need to put that at the top of the screen here :-)

Sounds like you already found everything you need, but here's an article about doing pre-arriva...

None of the reports per-se have the listing site reservation number on them but there is a data export that has it.

Go to the Bookings tab and go to List view, then use the Export button in the top-right to export to Excel. That will include the reservation number (and a ton of other stuff about the booking).

...set amount and min. night. These will be "spot rates" which override seasonal rates in our system.

No discount codes yet, but still very important on our To Do list. We keep getting MORE important stuff that pushes it back (right now the big important thing is our Airbnb API integration) but we do care about it and plan to release it.

Good question. I'd set it up in OwnerRez but not the listing content (descriptions, amenities, photos, location stuff). Then put a basic property record in place so that you can play with it and get rates right or whatever else. Then later fill out your VRBO listing and import that into OwnerRez. If you move to our HomeAway API coming up, we can push your OwnerRez property data into VRBO directly a...

We are looking into this. A recent change to Channel Bridge was made to help with HomeAway logins and it looks like we may be classifying all VRBO stuff as HomeAway now. This is pending.

Thanks for the feedback! We're continuing to develop our strategy on managing email, inbox/outbox stuff, and that's very helpful!

In the meantime, we've put email history under Tools so you have a quick link to get back there.

Not yet. We've been hunkered down on messaging, website and PM stuff since then. We do plan on working on QB updates throughout 2021, but no ETA yet.

@Valerie - I think it's best to post requests for feature changes in the other forum, makes it easier for the OR team to not overlook it.

I agree with your comments, there is a lot of value in keeping short term rental stuff all in one place.

Online transactions like vacation rentals, especially card not present, are probably in the high risk category. Think Lynbrook specialized in VRs. Maybe openedge not. This kind of stuff may only get worse.
