Allow Owners to Bypass Booking Restrictions for Owner Stays
Feature Request:
Allow property managers to enable an option that lets owners book stays at their own properties without being subject to standard booking restrictions, such as minimum-night requirements, maximum-night limits, lead times, or changeover rules.
Current Issue:
Owner bookings through the Team Access Portal must follow the same availability rules as guest bookings. For example, if a property requires a 4-night minimum stay, an owner cannot book a 2-night stay, even when the dates are completely available.
This is particularly frustrating for property managers using dynamic pricing or seasonal booking restrictions, where minimum-night requirements often vary based on how far in advance a reservation is made.
Currently, owners must contact their property manager to manually create these bookings, adding unnecessary administrative work.
Proposed Solution:
Add a property-level setting such as "Allow Owner Bookings to Override Booking Restrictions."
When enabled, owners could:
-
Book any available dates at their own property, regardless of minimum or maximum stay requirements.
-
Bypass advance booking and changeover restrictions.
-
Create their own owner stays without contacting their property manager.
Existing reservations and blocked dates would still be respected to prevent double bookings.
Benefits:
This would reduce administrative work for property managers, give owners greater flexibility to use their properties, and make the owner booking experience significantly more self-service.
Ideally, this would be an optional setting that property managers can enable or disable for each property.
