Owner Block Note

Greetings!

 

Yesterday, we had an owner very upset wondering why her property was blocked. We were confused at her confusion as to why she would be frustrated at our 'lack of communication' because we had detailed notes for the reason for the block (construction and deep clean) in the block notes. However we realised that from the owner's view they cannot see the details of the 'note' portion. All it says is "block" - Doesn't really make sense, there is options to share what the owner can see but it's nothing you can fill in or give details on. 

While we could directly let the owner know, OwnerRez could be great for streamlining block communication. This way we don't have to do double work with contacting the owner separately when they could have seen it on OwnerRez in the first place.

A couple of things you can do:

Create a process that when you create a block for the property, or an Owner creates a block, you also add a descriptive title (i.e. Deep Cleaning Block). That title will show on the block in the ribbon calendar much easier than notes will.

Or, In their Team Access settings, you can check the box that allows the owner/team access user to view notes for calendar items.
