We need to be able to show the running balance at the end of our monthly Owner Statements. Some months our clients have a negative balance while other months they are positive. We need a way to show this on their statements. Since our business is in Costa Rica but most of our property owners are American or Canadian, they prefer we do not transfer their positive balance to them each month (if there is one) they prefer we keep it to cover the expenses in slow months where they have a negative balance.
The information is already in OR we just need a way to add it to the Owner Statement.
For Property Management only clients (ones that do not rent and just use the property themselves) we also require a way to record Escrow payments (payments made by the owner in advance to cover the cost of future expenses)
Without these two features, we are unable to use the PM module for monthly Owner Statements and have generate them manually.
Yes, this is planned for the future, but no ETA at present.

Hi Ken, this particular issue has become an OR pain point for us. It doesn't look like the status of "planned" has been updated for some time. Any update that would give us hope and keep us for searching for a different pm solution?

The Planned status is still relevant here, as we do want to tackle this. That said, it likely will not happen this year.
Right now, (as far as anything PM is concerned) we're laser focused on PMv2 and fine tuning that feature so we can get everyone migrated over. That's a large undertaking that we've been working very hard at behind the scenes. Once we have everyone migrated over successfully, we can then focus on requests such as this that are overdue for further consideration.
I know this wasn't the news you were hoping for, but I did want to provide an update to let everyone know where things stand as of this quarter.

I know the focus is heavily on the PMv2 migration right now, but I need to convey the growing frustration among some of our owners.
As it stands, the current statements require owners to manually cross-reference their figures across multiple months to determine the true amount of funds we are holding for them (the running balance). This lack of a clear, final balance on the most recent statement is proving to be very confusing for our clients.
Providing the running balance is not just a 'nice to have'—it's a fundamental requirement for clear, trustworthy financial reporting, especially for owners who prefer to keep a positive balance to cover future expenses.
