Support the UCP Lodging Booking draft (Google AI Mode hotel booking) as a UCP business endpoint
Google and the Universal Commerce Protocol project published a draft Lodging Booking capability on 25 September (https://ucp.dev/draft/specification/lodging/booking/), and Google has said it will adopt it for hotel booking in AI Mode. The draft lets the property stay Merchant of Record and takes a booking session through create → update → complete, over REST or MCP.
The gap for independents is discovery: a platform needs the property's ID and rate plans from an "upper-funnel" source before the booking session starts. For hotels that's a GDS or chain CRS. For the rest of us it should be OwnerRez.
The request: expose OwnerRez properties, rate plans, availability and restrictions (min nights, closed to arrival/departure) as a UCP business endpoint, so that AI platforms can discover and book OwnerRez properties directly with the host as Merchant of Record and no OTA commission. The new Google Hotels channel already covers the discovery half for Google; this would cover the booking half, and it would work for every AI platform that adopts UCP, not only Google.
It's a draft and may change, so I'm not asking for it tomorrow. I'm asking for it to be on the roadmap so that OwnerRez users are first in line when Google switches this on, rather than having to leave OwnerRez or hand the booking to an OTA to get there.
