The ability to create line breaks in the Notes section of Owner Statements

Since the changes to the owner statements in November we are no longer able to use the totals boxes as they show the incorrect data.  I need to be able to write the gross bookings for the month (not ones shown previously), the total expenses and the payout to owner

I am writing it in the notes box like this:

 

Property 1:
Gross income:£2,612.91
Total Expenses: £1,403.51
Owner Payout:£1,209.40

Property 2:
Gross income: £2,410.02
Total Expenses: 1,545.09
Owner Payout: £864.93

Total for payout (combined) = £2074.33

 

But it is displaying on the statement as below which just looks confusing and hard to read:

 

Notes

It would be great if you could change format of the text as well. but the main thing is the ability to add line breaks.  I tried doing this using the <br> but it caused a error page.

I agree — The limitations of the fields that provide the totals now are less than ideal. Our workaround was to provide additional context via our theming settings. Sharing in case it’s helpful for you as well in the meantime…

Wow thank you. I had no idea we could do this in theming settings. I’ll take a look. 
Although I still need to include gross bookings for the month somewhere so still need the notes section :)

This thread has resulted in a project to provide more functionality in the 'notes' section, but I wanted to bring clarity to this comment about the 'totals' that are available at the bottom of the PMv2 statement view.  In November, changes were made to the owner statement as part of PMv2, while still in beta, to report all booking-related expenses in the booking section of the owner statement. Removing them from the expenses section. The expenses section is now exclusively for property and owner-related expenses. Depending on your settings, individual booking expense line items can still be displayed in the expenses section, but the monetary fields will be 'NA'.  The totals at the bottom can still display the Statement Total along with the booking and expense section subtotals, but those numbers will be displayed as described above, which may be different than how some users were using them, but they are not 'incorrect'. In other words, the subtotals will remain the same regardless of whether certain categories of expenses are hidden from the statement or not.

The notes section should now show line breaks as entered in the text input. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
