I would appreciate the ability to filter out pass through occupancy taxes on the Bookings Report. Currently the Bookings Report includes all of the pass through taxes that we have to collect and submit. I love the line chart for a quick visual of my revenue, but it is not accurate because it includes any pass through occupancy taxes I collect. I would love to be able to filter out the pass through taxes so the Bookings Report will show my true revenue.

I didn’t realize that the taxes were included. Actually, my preference would be to remove them from the standard report, with the option being to add them.
PLEASE... the default should be for NO taxes to be included in ANY report that shows financial information.
Taxes are not revenue for a business. (In fact, they are a liability.) They should NEVER be included in reports. None of the summary reports showing sales, financial information, etc. in OwnerRez really have any value when they are distorted by 12% (our local sales tax) eliminating them as a means for doing comparisons to prior years actual accounting info.
This is so fundamental and basic, there should not be a need to request it. It should go without saying that all reports would be done this way (without taxes) as a default, with only those created and used specifically for sales tax reporting purposes including sales tax in any format.

Just a poke to resurface this and get more votes! Please! Sales taxes are NOT my revenue! They are actually a pure liability and should never be included in revenue reports.
Please change all reporting to remove sales taxes. If you’re hung up on cash accounting, and want to have it included, then gives us the option to generate reports either way.
I’m tired of having my accountant look at me like I’m some kind of an idiot when I can’t easily generate a revenue report on the fly. I have to transfer everything into proper accounting software to do it. (I do have to do that anyway as part of annual statements. I’m not expecting OR to be accounting software, but some reasonably accurate booking software reporting would be nice.)
This is one of those weird OR quirks where it has lots of fancy bells and whistles, and bright shiny new toys (Can you say Rezi? I knew you could!) but fundamentals are off, or missing.
We appreciate you taking the time to submit this feature request! As a possible workaround, you could use the Line Item Pivot report. This shows you a breakdown of all charges on bookings (rent surcharges, discounts) before any taxes are added.
