We've looked into some of these, and while we always want to keep an open mind, we weren't impressed by the value-add - the costs seemed to be excessive, as well as certain technical aspects that would add challenges and complexities to the normal flow of handling bookings.

We are now losing bookings because we are unable to integrate features such as Affirm.  Is OwnerRez open to relooking at this. Some bookings are upwards of tens of thousands of dollars and clients want more flexible options.

I'm in total agreement with you. People using affirm all over the place for spreading payments.

I agree as well. I talked to a few VRBO hosts and the Affirm payment option is very important to them. The VRBO PM integration rep also just told me this morning that Affirm accounts for over 30% of their payment options.

In fact if you filter for “Pay Later With Affirm” you’ll notice that over 85% of the properties have this option so our properties would end up being filtered out.

For an expensive rental this is a payment option for many people.

Good morning, all,

Have we (host) had any recent response or communication from OwnerRez on this topic (Buy Now Pay Later) and the ability to offer it via an API integration for direct booking checkouts? Airbnb guests told me about Klarna, and I'm seeing other hosts recommend options from years past that I'm not that familiar with, too. Can anyone tell me how they are using, or have experience with, something that can be integrated now, or be part of the checkout process for direct bookings?

Also, from a cost perspective, Klarna is already set up through Stripe, and it looks like they only charge the host 6%, while guests pay fees/interest. Please let me know if I'm missing anything or

Thank you so much!

Why was this closed? I'm interested as well. OwnerRez checkout offers no new-age technology; it's like we are stuck in 2005. Stripe, and I'm sure the other payment processors, have similar features that can be added, like Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Affirm, and the others we are missing out on big time in this new day and age. Your other competitors already have this, like Guesty, Hostaway, and Hospitable.

Thank you Bradianna! I wasn't aware of the other companies who already have this capability. I like OwnerRez and would hate to switch but I feel some of my properties are missing direct booking opportunities because it's more payment friendly for them to use VRBO or Airbnb. Having a buy now pay later option is already affecting my bookings. Also other competitors have more options than just a credit card. I would like to see some enhancements soon!
