Q2 or Q3 of 2023 is now estimated for 2025 for what seems like a pretty basic function… any update?

Hi, everyone!

We've been hard at work fine tuning PMv2, among other big ticket features and upgrades across the entirety of the system. We sincerely hope to get recurring expenses into testing before Q4 this year. I won't make any promises at this time, but I will say that I'm personally feeling very optimistic about it.

Rest assured that the Product team is aware of the demand for this request, and we're actively seeking out an available slot on the 2025 roadmap to get this tackled.

We appreciate everyone's patience. Please share this request with likeminded users who would be willing to give it an upvote if they'd find this beneficial. Those upvotes allow us to determine where the demand is highest across all of our Feature Requests.

Hi Peter,

The most recent update is what I shared on June 12th above. I'll pin that reply in this thread so it floats to the top.

Once we know Recurring Expenses is moving into development, we will share the news here. There's no definitive timeline that I could provide at this time.

We were promised this already beginning of 2023 when we signed up with Ownerrez, it was supposed to come very soon....and still nothing...this was one of the reasons we signed up with Ownerez as this was a feature promised and all previous PM softwares had this feature included.....it is very important!

I posted the Recurring Expenses feature request in the FB group and got some traction. We can’t control their dev timeline, but voting is the one lever we do have, let’s blow this one up so it gets prioritized.

In addition to reoccurring expenses, creating a predefined list of common expenses, available from a dropdown menu when recording expenses would be a time saver.

This is honestly one of the biggest gaps in PM right now.

We have a bunch of recurring property expenses like thermostats/Jervis, camera subscriptions, pest control, HVAC maintenance, and even annual stuff like smoke detectors. There is no clean way to track and bill these.

Right now it is either manual charges or tracking outside of OwnerRez, which does not scale and things get missed.

Even something simple would go a long way. Let us attach an expense to a property, choose monthly, quarterly, or annual, and have it show up on owner statements automatically.

This becomes a real problem once you get past a few properties.

This has been promised since we started with OR 3 years ago, and it's not even in dev yet. This is the single biggest monthly reconciliation headache we have, and makes me consider other software options every month. I've held onto the promise for 3 years, but I'm starting to think it's not happening in the 20's at all. Once we get past our peak season and into the winter, if this feature is still just a hope and a prayer, I'm going to have to find a different solution.
