We have a combination of property types and it would be great if the hosted sites could create separate pages or lists for each type of property. We have a motel and cabins but they are combined into one conglomerate of units. Seo would be improved if we could separate the types into different pages or categories. Also, guest would get a more definite way to quickly filter what they are looking at.

Hi Matt,

You can achieve something similar today using tags and custom pages.

Create a tag group (Settings > Tags) for property types—e.g., "Motel" and "Cabins." Assign the appropriate tags to each property. Then:

  1. Go to Settings > Widgets and create a master  Availability/Property Search widgets for each property type
    1. So you will have a Widget just for Hotel that has all the properties assigned to it that are a Hotel Type
    2. And another widget that is just for Cabins that has all the properties assigned to Cabin type
  2. Create custom pages on your hosted site (Settings > Hosted Websites > your site > add Custom page)
  3. Embed each widget on its respective page using the widget embed code

This gives you separate URLs like /motels and /cabins, which helps with SEO and lets guests navigate directly to the property type they want.

Full walkthrough: Multiple area searches

For search filtering in just one search widget, enable tag filters in your main property search widget: Hosted Website Tags
Here is an example of a site with the Tag Filter in the main bar:

Here is an example of where they have different pages by Property type:

They added photos on the front that link to the different Property Pages.

Or you could also add those pages as submenus under Properties, so when you click that dropdown, it shows the different pages, or put them on their own menu heading. Here is an example of where those different pages are submenus on the Properties menu item:

Thanks for the response. I will try that out and see if it yields the results we're looking for.
