Rezzy: Let it determine if our Airbnb accounts are host-only fee and respond accordingly
It seems as though Rezzy is hardwired to assume every host is still using Airbnb's split-fee model (where both the host and the guest pay a fee). This makes it constantly communicate incorrect (and unprofessional-sounding) details to guests for those of us who are on the host-only fee setup. Rezzy should be able to determine from our account settings which applies and respond using accurate information.
Hi Alece,
I looked at what Rezzy analyzed to come up with her answer to your prospective guest. There are no host or guest fees involved in her reasoning. However, Rezzy is 'hard-coded' to run a quick quote to analyze numbers in a case like this. The total she got differed from the actual 'special offer' quote you sent the guest by the amount of the 'special offer adjustment' you gave them. Ultimately, she told them that the final amount that they saw on Airbnb included taxes. Which was the right answer. But I would say she did over-share a little.
Hey MichaeI. I assume you were looking at some of my recent messages from today. In both instances, I went in and manually edited Rezzy's reply after it was sent (Airbnb message thread lets you do so) to remove the reference to fees. But Rezzy absolutely keeps specifying in its responses that Airbnb will add its service fee.
Also, unfortunately "There are no host or guest fees involved in her reasoning." contradicts what I heard from Max in support via email on 8/3:
"I looked at what Rezzy was told by us, and you're right - there is a conflict between your directive and one given to Rezzy when it uses the quote tool, which instructs it that Airbnb charges a service fee. I'm escalating this to decide how we want to adjust this, or if we don't, what we can do in your case to avoid conflicts."
As OR is still deciding how to handle this, I figured I'd create a feature request as things tend to be prioritized when multiple users express a shared pain point.
