I'd like to be able to remove the request for the guest to upload ID for some guests.
I’ve been telling guests to just upload anything and it will allow them to complete the booking process.
It would be good to remove the request like it’s possible to remove signing the RA and creating a security deposit/hold.
If I remove both those for some guests it's weird to insist they upload ID.
Some guests just can't do this. It is onerous and we should be able to turn it off.
I tried to make a new lease without it and it still wanted it.
You can make that Custom Field Definition an optional field as opposed to a required field.
Are you looking for specificity between channels? Meaning, not requiring it for Airbnb guests but requiring it for Direct Booking guests?

Thank you Bri. I’m wanting to remove the request for ID for guests that I know/trust, not based on channel.
This is what I was told when I contacted help:
“Thanks for reaching out! I'll be happy to help with this. While you can configure Custom Fields as required or optional during the setup process, there is not a way to update/bypass this only for specific guests. Any changes would apply to all guests.
As a workaround, you can, as you suggested, have the guests upload an alternative file instead of the ID.
