In the mean time, you can use a Property Lookup action after the trigger to grab the property details using the `property_id` field from the Booking trigger.
Can you clarify what you mean here, Joel?
Hi Alece,
That's a good suggestion and we'll be looking at adding this to the trigger data along with other things such as basic guest details in the next update to the integration.

Currently it takes 2 separate Zaps for me to create a Contact in OpenPhone that includes guest name, phone number, and dates of stay. (Ideally this will eventually include the name of the property booked as well, per my other request.) It would be more ideal for the guest contact information attached to a booking to be available as data points within the Booking trigger in Zapier, so that this all could be accomplished in one Zap rather than via multiple.

For context, my current Zaps:
Step 1: Create contact in OpenPhone when contact created in OwnerRez
Step 2: Update contact in OpenPhone with dates of stay when booking created in OwnerRez
I am utilizing the new Zapier integration to add guest name and phone number to my Contacts in Open Phone. I'm also able to pull over the dates of stay, and I'd like to add in the property name for where they will be staying. Right now, the data available within Zapier from OR just includes the Property ID, which is just the internal ID number in OwnerRez. Having the internal property name as an available data point would be a huge help and would make multiple Zap prossiblites even more beneficial! Specifically for my Zap usage, this would allow us to see, on quick glance, where and when a guest is staying with us when they reach out via call or text.

I love how fast and IT-connected our community is! We were literally just talking about this, internally, when the news came out last night and this morning. Yes, we do plan to implement this, and we've been waiting because Apple didn't have it in the past. We thought about doing the Android version - which has been out of a while - but the majority of the smartphone market is iPhone. We have held off doing the native app for the same reason - wasting resources/time one a partial solution. Now that web apps for phone can do push, it will push this along quickly.
iOS 16.4 beta allows devs to push notify on web apps. Does OR have plans to implement this or is it already ready to go waiting on Apple?

That's good to know Alan, thank you! I wonder what they're going to end up charging us. I'm still seriously worried about the data they're going to ask for. I know with cars they want all of your information directly from the car company without giving you an opt-out option. Not to mention the troves of data they collect while you use your car & android auto.
I have a strong privacy policy and don't use google analytics or FB pixel because of it and the data (and abuse of it) that FB and Google are well known for.
What are you doing that google would want your car info?
Anyways Google has not had much luck beyond pay per click revenue model. I am not sure that this will amount to much.
Alan,
How did you get on Google Travel? I thought OR is not yet a connectivity partner yet and GT only allows PMs with 1000+ units to self integrate. Did you integrate on your own before these new rules?

This feature has already been released. See the pinned comment above.
When will this be implemented? Thanks!
Each individual rule can be set and and overridden per date. Once the DP partners implement these features, it will be up to them to skip updating rules that you don't want them to set. We've supplied this information to each of our partners, but I encourage you to reach out as well if it is important to you.
For now, the only rules that the DP partners are setting (and overriding) are rates and minimum nights. I believe PriceLabs and perhaps others are setup to set just the Rate if you determine you don't want them setting minimum nights. The same will apply to Max nights and arrival/departure rules.
Thanks. I assume, though, that anything done in the rates and/or check-in/out modules is overwritten if we use a dynamic pricing tool as that is set in the DP tool. Correct?
Unfortunately, it's not possible for us to add support for this capability, because Airbnb doesn't include it in their API. If they ever do, we'll certainly look at integrating that into OwnerRez.
Hello all - just a quick update, the first round of Ribbon Calendar enhancements is getting close to release. We hope to get it out later this month!
Have you tried this Stacie with the new options available on ORZ?
Interesting article about the Google Layoffs. Layoffs hit Google Flights the most, and not the other parts of Google Travel, which include Vacation Rental Homes:
https://skift.com/2023/01/30/google-flights-could-strategy-after-heavy-layoffs/
From the article:
Potential Strategy Changes
The inordinately large amount of layoffs at Google Flights on a percentage basis could signal:
...
The source said that even before the layoffs, Google has been transitioning employees out of Flights and its airline enterprise business, and into Google Travel’s hotels, vacation rentals, and things to do, as well as sustainability. In the case of hotels and things to do, at least, there is a greater revenue potential than for flights. U.S. airlines got stingy about paying flight commissions two decades ago.
...
Would also love to be added to the beta group :D
There's a reason we have the 30-day limit - that's generally recognized as being related to the specific business transaction (the booking) and so does not require any special permissions, opt-outs, unsubscribes, etc. MailChimp and such already support those legal restrictions, but at present OwnerRez does not - nor do we have to because, by definition, all our automated email is within the limit.
Here's the best we have at present:
But, there are improvements planned and on the way.
I am doing the same now, but with Google forms. It is very annoying since the collected information cannot be imported into OR unless manually. If you have multiple reservations, it becomes an impossible task. It defeats the idea of having a unified picture/spreadsheet of your guests, which you might want to use later in triggered emails or else.
Thanks! We've filed a bug report with Airbnb.
I ran the wifi test through the airbnb app last week, but that data is no longer in my listing.
Since OwnerRez allows you to set up your own customized automatic message templates and triggers, as well as tags, there is nothing preventing you from offering your own insurance options via whatever contract you may have with the insurance company of your choice. However, the legalities of offering insurance in the vast number of potential jurisdictions, is sufficiently complicated that we have no plans to provide commissions for insurance sales to our clients directly.
Another way to phrase this that's a standard practice within online marketing is we're wanting to setup affiliate links so when a guest purchases travel insurance, we receive a commission from their purchase. We'd also like to advertise travel insurance for our listings on our social channels, email campaigns, etc. and including an affiliate link for guests to do this would enhance operational efficiency.
Totally agree
Would like the ability to create triggers for emails that are longer than 30 days after checkout. This would be easy to do and would help immensely in re-targeting guests who have already booked without the need for a secondary CRM. I think in theory OR isn't opposed to it, since the new zappier integration with Mail Chimp would allow the same kind of triggers.... but it seems crazy to have to purcahse Zappier and Mail Chimp subscriptions just to do this.... Would love this feature!
Would like to see a kick-back (commission) for selling cancellation insurance using the one that's connected to OR.
100% need this.... it's just good for business
