The radio options shown in your screenshot only apply to booking payments.
Security deposits only support Credit Cards, since only credit cards provide the necessary level of automation for automatic hold/release and charge/refund.
Yep, the changeover rules will be added to the API when we release, in addition to being something you can set on the calendar -- so PriceLabs will be able to update them.
They already have this feature with other PMS’s though.
You'd have to ask PriceLabs about what their development plans might be.
How come a rate isn’t displayed until guest has entered number of guests, even if you aren’t using pricing per guest strategy?
Why not display the base price as soon as dates are entered, based on a permitted number of guests (1 to property maximum) and if they then enter an amount of guests that exceeds property max, just display the reason why the booking is not possible for that many, for example, “max number of guests is 4” and the price then disappears and guest cannot proceed to book.
The additional step is unnecessary and may mean some less technical users are endlessly entering dates wondering why they can’t see a price, and then assuming the dates aren’t available.
Just a thought. : )
Will this be a thing on PriceLabs too? I really miss that feature from my old PMS.
hello OR team, thanks to you we now have 111 114 properties on smokymountaincabinsbyowner.com - yeay! And more are coming.
With that number (and growing) would be awesomely great to have (in the order of importance):
Did you ever get this figured out?
We can define the type of payment for a booking as below. But could you refine this some more so we can set the payment type differently for Balance and Security Deposit?
I would like to have a guest pay by transfer for the rental but only allow them to see the credit card option for a security deposit hold.
It is, and hopefully will be out later this year.
Ok, that is really all I wanted for this feature request. While we’re on the topic of what APIs “should” be transmitting, AirBNB should be updating their payment status. Is that in the works at all?
And updates/changes to this?
No updates on our side yet. However, we have learned that Marriott has lightened the requirements to join so smaller PMs and homeowners may qualify. From a development standpoint, we're looking to do this in Q2 of 2023 at this point but that could change.
Love this!! It's an even better idea than my request for a trigger filter for repeat guests and would have even broader applicability!
I don’t like to have more templates than necessary,
And for guests that have my “SuperGuest” tag, I may wish to change a small section/paragraph of content in my template, rather than creating another template and having to edit existing triggers. Small example: “Welcome back {CFIRST}” instead of “Dear {CFIRST} for untagged guests.
So could it be possible to “tag” sections of content in a template that would change based on a customers profile being tagged?
Another example would be that I’ve tagged my guest with “Badguest” so the check-out email might not ask them for a review/thank them etc, but I wouldn’t want to clutter things with an additional template just for that.
This would keep things much neater with templates and triggers if content was interchangeable based on tags.
I heard that you are working on the tags at the moment so just wanted to give you some food for thought.
Feature request:
A filter within the triggers for automated emails based upon if a review has been left for a particular booking.
Use case:
I have automated messaging that goes out asking for a review. This filter would not send the request out if the guest has already left a review. The review could be left on an OTA or through the website.
Alternate use case:
This could also be used as a trigger to send out review requests based upon those who have not submitted a review already.
Feasibility:
OR imports reviews automatically from Air B&B, which are linked to a booking already. Any reviews left in the OR system would be linked to a booking as well. It should (in theory) be fairly easy to see if the booking ID for the reservation shows in the reviews table, similar to the "has problem" checkbox or "Has Tags" filters
Have you tried Lynx instead of RemoteLock? Their support is great. I use them for Schlage Z-Wave locks. I've been very happy with their ability to email the codes to the guests and they have a nice portal that guests can use to remotely control the locks (as well as the AC and now garage door... obvioulsy you need supported tech and each of these is an additional fee).
I recently moved from Hospitable to OwnerRez for the website hosting. For whatever reason, Hospitable has Schlage Encode integration (and only this lock). It worked perfectly and honestly it made the switch to OwnerRez a lot harder. OwnerRez supporting this would be a home run for me.
This integration would be fantastic!!
Would love this!!
We do plan to add support for multiple email addresses for owners.
Is it not practical simply to "Print to PDF" from your browser?
For corporate guests, we need to issue an Invoice in PDF to collect the payment. We need the email templated of "Receipt/Billing Summary/Invoice" can be save in PDF similar as Rental Agreement.
The EV Charger amenity on Airbnb lists us as having a Level 1 charger when in fact we have a more powerful Level 2. So there must be an adjustment feature for EV chargers on Airbnb that we can't access through OR. How do I update my Airbnb listing to reflect the correct charger now that I'm API? thanks
Amen! Big vote for this one!
PriceLabs has a feature to dynamically adjust your night gaps based on criteria you set.
Don't get it for that feature alone, the dynamic pricing and market pricing info will pay for itself in spades. The gap management and other stuff is icing on the cake.
For the export to be useful to send to my cleaners to audit our reviews the check-in date of the stay of the reviewer needs to be visible so they can know who cleaned that day.
I've been using RemoteLock for this and when their system works correctly, it's awesome. But their customer service/support is basically non-existent, so heaven forbid something go wrong or not work as it's supposed to -- because you basically have no way to get needed support!
For that reason alone I would absolutely love being able to directly integrate my Schlage Encode keypads into OR!!
It would be helpful for me if I could give my cleaners with portal access access to reviews posted for the properties they clean.
We are actually working on a more general capability that would allow you to configure an expense (that can be for anything) of a fixed amount or a percentage. So, this would achieve the effect you describe. That should be out soonish.
And updates/changes to this?
