Great news about the update for ID collection!
Meanwhile, @House of Arcade- I use Jotform to collect added information. It is set up as a registration form that collects not only a photo of the IDs (can be jpeg or pdf) , but also added emails and names of of other guests, number of dogs and their names, any identification information and their preferred welcome beverage- wine/soda.
Guest Names and emails are added as custom field definitions and they receive a welcome letter, a copy of our Touchstay Guidebook and post stay an invite to review as well. The letter also includes an invite to join our mail list "Inner Circle" for future stays at discount when booked directly.
I keep the info through the full duration of their reservation, including the return of deposit held.
Hey great news - looking forward to it.
Thank you Ken!!
Any day now...
This is great! Where are we now in this process since May 2022?
How do you add the PDF to templates for signed agreements?
I just set up a second property, but those AirBNB Additional Rules are still hiding from me. I cant edit them on Airbnb (likely because I am API connected) and I cannot find anywhere in OR where to edit them.
It's a problem because the verbiage makes references to my 1st property, but now these are showing in the Additional Rules on AirBNB for the second property.
I did end up finding this. It's in a very convoluted place. Go to: Settings > API Integrations > Airbnb > Change.
Please, note that I am coincidentally a different Brian K, but also having this same issue. I am attempting to update the "Additional rules" section on Airbnb, but cannot find where to do this on OwnerRez. I am also connected with API, so cannot manually update them on Airbnb. Where can I find this? Thanks!
Hello! Interesting concept, but as a general observation, it could create an infinite loop. If SMS is bouncing in general, and someone has a trigger based on bounces, it might continue bouncing if they keep sending SMS messages on the bounce trigger.
Does Google charge us a commission for each booking? When I looked into them way back when I don't think they did. That makes me wonder, what is in it for Google? Nothing they give for "free" comes without a price tag. Your emails, calendars, photos, drive, contacts, notes, search history, etc. are all mined for useful data they can sell to advertisers. They track you across the web courtesy of their free analytics platform, selling that information as well.
No, they want something. Hopefully, OR is not bound by an NDA/mNDA and can give us some more insight, but from Ken's responses, I'm assuming it's a very strong (m)NDA.
This has been answered. https://www.ownerrez.com/forums/requests/google-vacation-rentals-connectivity-partner#68129
Travel Insurance is sold and billed separately through RentalGuardian directly. OwnerRez has no control over the pricing or handling of the funds for that separate transaction.
Has anyone looked into these for the sole purpose of GVR integration and not fully abandoning OR? I would pay a minimum subscription just to have it as you pointed out- it is definitely affecting bottom lines for direct bookings.
Why is OwnerRez needing to have ongoing discussions with Google about this over a period of several months while other inferior channel managers have long ago gotten their host customers connected with Google Vacation Rentals?
How much talking about this is necessary over all this time, and why have the other channel managers been able to connect without all the talking?
Not quite sure how this is not complete yet. GVR will be a major source of income for many, just as their flight program took off. It'd be best to get your clients into GVR as fast as possible to help us grow our income streams further. Google seems to provide a pretty comprehensive integration manual. Any ETA from the OR Team?
If you have fewer than 5,000 properties, we strongly recommend working with one of the connectivity providers listed below to get your properties shown on Google.
If you're already working with a connectivity partner that's not listed above, encourage them to follow the steps outlined in this guide. If you'd like to become a connectivity partner with Google, or if you think direct integration is the right path for you, follow the same steps to get started.
It would be awesome if we had a way to markup your travel insurance charged to guests. If there was a setting that allowed us to mark up the travel insurance and collect the difference that would be one more way for us to make a bit of money as hosts. Maybe the options to mark it up by percentages up to 10% or something similar.
Right. I meant bookings that make it all the way to completion. The original post was hoping to also capture for inquiries/quotes generated -- this doesn't allow for that, but it does capture the helpful detail for those who complete making a booking. :)
Correct!

you can create a custom field type "booking" and it will be shown on check out. Here is mine:
*SUPER* helpful workaround for completed bookings at least. Thank you so much, @BlueMtnCabins!
This is not for complete bookings. This is for going forward new bookings. They fill the field in when they are going to the RA. Or you can also fill in yourself after the fact

Yes, that makes sense. Not sure exactly how soon, but it's accepted.

Curious if you were able to find another way to list on Google Vacation Rentals while maintaining OR as your PM system. We are in the same boat as we have multiple properties and we are being searched and found on Google now.
was this status changed to Planned recently?
This would avoid me so many unnecessary crises.
Hello! If you're up for it, try this CSS to get the layout you desire:
.property-result-list.property-result-tiles {
grid-template-columns: repeat(auto-fit, minmax(300px, 1fr)) !important
}Otherwise, we'll look to make auto-fitting standard in the coming weeks!
YESSSS! That did it! Thank you so much!

Yes I really would like this feather turned on. If the booking occurs on a (day of the week)
also would be aweosme for if booking occurs during a month and day (for festival activities) would be great too so I don’t have to send manual emails.
please please.
I love that OR reminds guests to buy insurance after signing that RA. Great feature. But I had already 2 guests call me asking why are they being forced to buy insurance. The way the splash screen looks makes them think that insurance is mandatory.
Maybe add something like "No, I will take my chance and I do not want to protect my trip" below the current message so that screen is dismissable by clicking on some "No " button. Just a suggestion.
If there was an SMS Bounce Trigger, we could create this:
IF an outbound SMS bounces THEN we Send out an Email and Platform message letting the guest know that they will be receiving important notifications by SMS, so they need to update their information.
Should be a pretty simple trigger to add (since the system already emails us based on an SMS bounce) and it would help push all guests toward SMS integration and cell phone inputting instead of office or home numbers, etc.
Thanks for listening!
Ben
