Yep, and a couple more ways:
- Go to the Year calendar view on bookings and choose "Color by listing site"
- Go to the Ribbon calendar view on bookings, filter it, and you can pick a specific listing site and the ones that don't match will show faded out

I see the ability to filter in Listing and Ribbon, but not in Month, which to me is a much better visual.

You can display them color coded. each channel different color. will that work? You can also go to Bookings > List, select filter, and filter by booking site

In the Booking Calender, I'd like to see my bookings per channel - so I can strip out any or all except one channel. Does this feature already exist, and I just don't know how to access it?

Hi Crystal, we've been delayed on the housekeeping module but you can set the Cleaning Date on the booking. Booking > Info tab > Change > set cleaning date. That then shows up in other places in the app.

Has any of this been made possible? How do you add the cleaning date confirmation info info the booking?

Thanks

It would be great to be able to add a note (to self, or to cleaners) to the booking calendar. For example "Stove repairman coming today", "Call maintenance", "Don't forget to call Joe", "Guest checking in early today", etc. Adding a note to a booking would not suffice, needs to be something that you see when you look at the monthly calendar or the ribbon. Of course, it should be something that doesn't block the date from being booked.

In the Amenities section, there is Property Type for AirBnb, HA, TripAdvbisor

It would be nice if Conference Center / Meeting Room was added as an option.

Hotels definitely have them, so do some larger short term rental facilities (yes, I have one).

Yep, that's the closest thing right now. We are working on a daily rate calendar for setting rates like Airbnb but that will be spot rates only not seasonal.

Yep, definitely. On the Spot Rates we're working on a calendar UI for that.

There' also rules based discounts you can apply, like a 10% off if less than 20 days from arrival etc. -- overlaying some of those can really help with auto updating prices instead of having to dig down into the specific rates all of the times.

Gaps is another thing -- you can already lower min nights in gaps, but it would be cool to be able to target gaps with discounts. And also lower min nights for near term arrivals so you can easily have it longer in far future and then drop down as it approaches the time.

You can to a degree. go to properties, select property, it will show rates defined, you can edit right there

I would love to be able to set my rates using a calendar. Click on a start & end date, and enter a rate.
It will be nice to visually see it on a calendar.

If you're revamping the Rate engine, please keep this in mind:
It's safe to say that many self-managers tend to tweak their rates for maximum revenue. For example, I set my high season rates at double what I would be happy to get, so that I can grab a couple of big spenders here and there 6-10 months in advance. As the date approaches, I slowly drop them back to Earth. I net thousands more per year this way. I also drop prices for small gaps to make a few bucks here and there.

So I'm just saying that whatever interface you build, it needs to be flexible but not complicated (a lot of OR features are a bit on the complicated side) and we need to be able to jump in and tweak prices here and there in an easy non-complicated way.

For example, your "Spot Rates" feature does the job (like lowering the price on a 2-day midweek gap) but it's far from quick and easy to do that.

Thanks, and I love your service.

Tim

We are doing exactly that. The separate nature of Seasons and Rates is going away and they are going to be combined and simplified. Seasonal Rates will still exist - as separate from Spot Rates - but it'll be a season/rate table on the property as opposed to linking from one to the other and sharing rates between multiple properties. This has been in the planning for awhile.

I like the Seasons and Seasonal Rate engine, but I wish they were integrated as one.

I understand why you did it - you can, for example, have 20 different seasons and only 5 rates, and having them separate means less configuration because those 5 rates are applied to multiple seasons.

But for me, I set a unique rate for each season based on demand and availability and how far out that season is. And I start very high and grab a few big spenders then reduce my rates as the dates approach. So I therefore have a 1:1 relationship between Seasons and Seasonal Rates, therefore it is more work to build seasons and rates separately. This is compounded by having multiple properties.

I would love to see an option to set Seasons and put a price right there, without having to go create a Seasonal Rate and apply it to a Season and a Property. Even better would be when editing a Season, be able to set the price for that season for each property separately.

Ted, we are in the same situation. My payment schedule is we take $300 to reserve the week, 1/2 due Dec 1st, balance 30 days prior to stay. The $300 makes sure people are serious and not just holding a week while they shop around.

The Tax report in cash mode basically prorates the total tax charges on each booking across the payments and refunds for that booking, imputing the tax on the date of the payment. Since we don't have tax remittance tracking currently, you have to enter negative charges for refunds to make the report total up correctly.

If you can identify a booking and the discrepancies you're seeing, I'll look into it and see what the reason is for that.

Every month calculating tourist tax (for Florida Panhandle) and occupancy sales tax is a lot of work for me. The data however is in Ownerrez and I was wondering if there is a way Ownerrez can calculate the tax to be paid by calculating cash method. Currently there is a tax report but when I look at each booking individually, it does not look like it is correct. It does not match the payments I collected. I would love to see a report module where it looks to all the bookings and calculates gross sales including tax (by looking at the actual bookings and actual tax percentage rate from the property settings) and calculate gross sales without the tax per property. Each channel can be manually configured for example by selecting Tripadvisor channel as receiving cash 2 days (configurable) after check-in, arirbnb channel as receiving cash 2 days after check-in, homeaway receiving cash 3 days after booking is made, direct receiving cash after 2 days booking is made etc. If all these are configurable then gross sales without tax can be very easily calculated and would save us owners lot's of calculation errors and time.

Thanks for update. This seems a very worthy update, particularly for repeat guests and reservations scheduled well in advance. Much appreciated.

Right now you've got to take something during the booking process to validate the card and put it on file. My suggestion would be to make the first payment small, like $10. Then once the booking is made it'll get the 30 day remaining balance payment due scheduled automatically. You can then go in and schedule the intermediate 6 months in advance payment.

We are working on a more generic payment schedule that'll let you take more than two payments or delay the first payment, but I don't have an ETA on it yet.

I saw the earlier post on payments but some of the dates are pretty old. My question is as follows: I have folks book 12 months in advance but I take the first payment 6 months in advance and the final payment 30 days in advance. Is there any flexibility to control the date of the first payment? Payment on confirmation seems to be the only rule that is possible.

I am not sure what "good looking" means when it comes to locks. In my book reliability is the most important. . I have 3 erentallocks, they use couple of Schlage models each in 3 different finishes. I used non motorized version because as you said it preserves the battery. Mine are BE 365 type. very reliable.

Is that an algorithmic lock like erentallock? erentallock already integrates.
