Surely there’s some way we could turn on a fee calculation that auto populates for VRBO bookings. This repetitive manual stuff is so 2010.

...🐪 Although, I'm getting this out late, so it's probably already past Hump Day for our European and Asian users.

Last week, we mostly worked on major updates that aren't quite finished - long term stuff - but there were a few things that went out, so let's take a second to go over them...

...me you look at your ribbon calendar, you'll notice that a little green button appears as you hover over the empty cells.

Give that a little click, and bam - up pops a quick quote box witha bunch of stuff prefilled for you including the rates and any rules or warnings that might prevent the guest from booking.

You can edit the quick quote and instantly see the rate and rules change.

    Just hit the E...

The attention to detail is what separates these guys from the rest of the crowd. It. Just. Works. Every button, every screen = just works. There's no trying to force you into using certain marketing channels or buying a bunch of stuff you don't need. It was the first time I felt like the software vendor wasn't getting in my way. Really great job.

I would suggest you not to swallow around one Topic at a time. You should consider going through the following link topic by topic. You might not need the quote stuff.

Otherwise you might encounter a dozen other things you cannot do or might miss out on.

There is also a search area on top that might help.

...cheap and did it myself. I thought it was smart to try to learn it all, it would have been a wiser choice to let them set it up and learn the day to day functions first, then add the more complicated stuff. If you do it yourself, pick one area, for example the calendar syncing, and complete & understand that area before moving on to the next thing. That is my biggest helpful hint on set up and expandin...

@Chris: You're right about certain things like push notifications or camera integration (for cleaning checklists) though camera stuff can actually be done with regular web app. To bridge the gap on push notifications, we've kicked around the idea of having System Alerts go from email to text (or both) so that you get a text message instantly for certain things. That would help and make it so we didn'...

EDIT: Maybe you knew about that and you're referring to deeper integration - like automating triggers for that. Very high on our To Do list. we have some great stuff dropping in the next couple weeks but unified inbox, SMS and website changes are very much front and center.

I think the only channel that will matter (that Ownerrez does not already have) will be Google vacation rentals (or they fall under hotels?). All the other stuff is either redundant or fluff with no added value.

Yep—I’d love to see triggers for Airbnb messages. A lot of the stuff I email to the proxy now (checkout reminders and instructions, etc.) is better suited to the Airbnb message stream. Hope that’s coming soon!

...They get 150/month per property flat regardless of cleaning for doing the above. The better cleaners value this position. They have 3 or 4 properties on the same street so they can group the above stuff together - easy money. Most of them are married and both husband and wife and maybe a grown child or two helps as part of the "team" so one person isn't doing it all all the time.

Good, but that was one of nine property pages. The others are the same. I just couldn't figure out where to put that line. Is there a way to directly update stuff like that or the HTML on a hosted website without getting crazy?
    Where did you put it?

We have designed and worked on some "Unified Inbox" stuff but it's been back burner'd several times. It's a major undertaking and not necessary for a lot of users. It's something that needs a lot of work to really get right and be useful, otherwise it jus...

Each step, just one at a time, step by step, get it properly set up and only then do I move on to the next one.

The other change to my technique is that I set aside a time to work on my OR stuff (I have a real job), I open an email and as I go through my project I type up all my questions and when I am done for the evening, I send the email and know I will likely have my answers within 24 ho...

All logical and stuff from a computers point of view, but it doesn't make much sense in the real world.

I've got a fix going in with our new prorate engine to make the min holiday nights be same or greater than minimum n...

Glad to see the portal feature.  That's been an issue with my business partners who were used to looking at pricing and occupancy on our previous system (while not having the ability to mess stuff up).  Looking forward to the granular access and read only features for them and the Staff/Cleaner function.  Would be great to have a report/portal access that says "Property A guests stay from B to C with D...
