CSS to hide "Sorted by" on Availability/Property Search Widget 1 reply

Hi David,

You beat me to it!

However, I would tweak that CSS a bit to be more exact. In your example, you're targeting all buttons that are small (btn-xs) which could hit a bunch of other buttons. If you want to target only that sort button, it would be better to do this:

.btn-group.sort-selector { display: none; }

Or even just:

.sort-selector { display: none; }

Can you provide the CSS to hide the drop-down 'sorted by' button on the Availability/Property Search Widget?

Update since I can't delete ;)

.btn-xs, .btn-group-xs>.btn {
display: none;
}

In case anyone else feels silly sorting 3-4 properties.

We have released a new version of Channel Bridge that should fix this issue. Update to the latest version. You can read about how to check for latest version # and how to force an update here:

https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/updating-channel-bridge-to-latest-version

After updating, check the "Download Bookings" button next to VRBO and see if the properties down-down now shows your properties. The "Download Reviews" button should work as well.

Hi Paul,

Seems this is also our problem. How do I send a log, if that help? Where do I get that?

Thanks, Claudia

Hi Marina's Edge, can you follow the instructions above about sending your log in? We're seeing this from a wide sub-set of VRBO users. That log helps a lot.

AirBnB and VRBO charge a service fee. I'd like to add a service fee to my direct listings but I don't want it to read "x% service fee". I'd like it to read just like AirBnb "Service Fee" but not show the % value.

Hi there! I've built a site in Wix, the Owner Rez widgets look great on the computer but the multi calendar "ribbon style" widget doesn't work correctly on a mobile device. I'll try to post a screen shot here... Does anyone know how to fix this?? Its super cramped up.. THANKS :)

1) Yep, there are several different providers that will submit tax on your behalf, but personally I haven't used any of them. The real work is getting the right data to send to them.

If you have the taxes configured in OwnerRez, you can use the Tax Detail report to pull all of the taxes for bookings in different periods and use that to base your tax reporting. The only thing to watch there is backing out any cancels or refunds if you're paying taxes ahead of arrival.

We have a plan to do tax remittance tracking similar to how we do Owner/PM statements and payout tracking but that feature isn't in place yet.

2) There's not a dedicated forum only search, but the search box at the top of the support area will search forums, blogs, and support articles all at once.

You must contact any property management expert who has been doing this business from years in that particular area. As mentioned 5+ properties must be configured to be a property manager so talk with them and know what things must be done by you.

It still doesn't show my property in the drop-down. However, the Reviews button now comes back and says there are zero properties. I will email the log to help@ownerreservations.com. Let me know if there is a better email address to use.

An update has been released. Make sure you're using the latest version of Channel Bridge. Here's an article on how to make sure you're on the latest version and how to force an update if you're not:

https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/updating-channel-bridge-to-latest-version

Let me know if, after getting the update, you see properties in the down-down list for VRBO when clicking the "Download Bookings" button. And the reviews button should be fine as well.

If still broken, let me know and send me a copy of the log which you can see by clicking the version number link:

1) I am hoping to go live in several more weeks, and have been studying the requirement northeast Pennsylvania to collect 9% tax, which is 6% sales tax and 3% a Pocono area hotel tax. I was looking at MyLodgeTax, but they seem to has been crappy reviews. Not totally sure what true value they add for $240 per annum.

From Ownerreservations + OTAs, is there a simple way to pull collected taxes to meet the many time a year taxes that seem to need to be paid correctly?

2) how do you search these forums? I cannot seem to find a search box dedicated to the forums...

That's what I figured. We are working on a hotfix for that as I write this. We identified this earlier today with others. Will circle back to this thread when Channel Bridge is updated. FYI - for others seeing this, it only appears to happen to some users, not all.

Hi Greg,

We now have a Channel Bridge tool that allows you to bring in Airbnb booking information (guest, contact, charges, payments) quickly after a booking is imported into OwnerRez. It works for both VRBO and Airbnb. Read here about the Channel Bridge overview:

https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/channel-bridge

And how to install it here:

https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/channel-bridge-install

We are constantly adding more support to this and our goal is to surface buttons inside of OwnerRez directly so that you the Channel Bridge functionality will happen automatically. Bookings will update several times per day with you having to press the Channel Bridge buttons. However, even right now, it is far faster to use the Channel Bridge files than the manual CSV files from the VRBO interface.

We are also working on direct channel integration with HomeAway and Air but it's a lengthy process and only applies to PM users (those with more than 5 properties). So even after those partnerships are in place, our Channel Bridge tool will be the primary tool for non-PM users.

We also have an rate push for Airbnb that pushes your OwnerRez rates into Airbnb automatically, but this feature is only available to limited users in a beta group. Send an email in requesting info about this if you'd like to try it.

PS. If you run Channel Bridge to bring in information for a booking that already had charges/payments entered, make sure to use the "overwrite" option when importing from Channel Bridge.

Select $75 per night with no multiplier. Then down below in the Booking Criteria, select if Number of Guests is greater than 2. This will target any booking that has more than 2 guests and add a flat $75/night fee regardless of who many over 2 they have.

Hi James,

This may be happening because the properties list in Channel Bridge is not populating correctly with your VRBO properties. It should only take a few seconds to analyze the reviews and spin through them even if you have hundreds, and you would see an ongoing status updated in that box as it worked its way through. We are tracking an issue with several users on this right now. Thanks for reporting it.

If you log out of VRBO, close your browser tabs, then come back in and click on Download Bookings button, do you see properties in the "All Properties" drop-down?

Thanks... I found that.. My situation is we charge $75 for the 1 or 2. We lock one bed and one bath for only 2 guests and open it for 3 or 4 guests. How would i configure $75 no matter if its one or 2 guests?

Hi Kristine!

Yes, you would use surcharges for that (look in Settings > Surcharges). Create an automatic surcharge called "Extra guest fee" and make the amount $75, then set the multiplier to "guests" and say that 2 are included for free. Like so:

I'm also curious, since I noticed an Airbnb Channel. However, when I went to set it up, it looks like it's just the same thing that already existed (calendar sync) and there's no added functionality. Am I wrong?

The villa sleeps 4 total but we often book it for only 2, locking one bedroom and one bathroom. If someone books for more then 2 people it's $75 more a night. Is this an option?

I'm attempting to use Channel Bridge for the first time to get reviews from VRBO. I believe I've done all the setup steps correctly. The Channel Bridge extension says I'm connected to VRBO, but when I press the button to export reviews, it hangs (for hours) spinning and saying "analyzing your VRBO/Homeaway reviews". Note that I have less than 10 reviews so I wouldn't think it would take too long.

Have you done this before with Stripe?

No. But I have manual distribution set up on stripe i.e I trigger money transfers manually, not on schedule. You need to log into stripa dashboard (if that is what you use) and see there if you can set up split payments
