We're wanting to add considerably more functionality to the rental agreements, as well as to the PM module, so this might be something to add as part of those upgrades.

The multi month calendar is designed not to show a split between bookings.
If you want to show gaps, the ribbon calendar does that.

I use the URL for the Hosted Widget link for calendars to share with my housekeepers for the different properties in my account.
However, on days where there are back-to-back bookings (guests checking in on the same day that the previous guest checked out) the date on the calendar shows as a solid blocked date. It is not clear that that day has back-to-back bookings.
It would be great if OR could show a split on that date of the calendar to indicate a check-out/check-in on the same day.
It would be convenient to have different "views" or filters available for the DESCRIPTION page. For instance, an AirBNB view that would only have the AirBNB-synced fields, a HomeAway view that would show only those synced to HomeAway, and maybe even have both OR/AirBNB section names.
This wouldn't seem to be too difficult to do.

Seems like this would be an easy thing to implement for those users who control rates from OwnerRez.
And knowing that this would happen would help prevent users (like me) from tweaking rates in an OTA platform rather than adjusting from within OR such as with the Rate Calendar.
Implementation
- at booking time determine the calculated nightly rate and record it for each booked night
- add an exportable report to allow users after the fact to easily list all booked nightly rates and associated daily details (such as min nites)
- bonus points for revealing past nightly rates through hover in the Rate Calendar *
* possibly with a calendar display, but in any case where the past year rate is adjusted to match the current year day (eg: mondays match mondays)
Yep, it's on the todo list! For now you can search everything with the search in the Support area -- that will search forums and blogs as well.
It would be very nice to be able to search these from their respective pages.
with API integration that is being discussed here, there is not need to import rates via spreadsheets They get pushed directly to OR and / or to OTA websites.

I never heard of wheelhouse but would like a way to automate my pricing that stays within certain parameters and is affordable.
Currently I have developed a spreadsheet that takes weekly rates over a month at converts them to Spot Rates.
These can then be imported as spot rates to OwnerRez.

I recently started using pricelabs. Seems to work really well with OR and is fairly reasonable. BUT Wheelhouse I think has I integration with Expedia which would be a huge plus for me and I'm sure a lot others. I'm having to manually enter Expedia rates and bookings. They now have an iCal link so that helps a bunch to keep from double booking but they stay on my case for not having rate parity and min stay parity with other sites and since I'm using dynamic pricing, its difficult to keep up manually.
So bottom line is we need an API connection for Expedia!! Hint, hint.
It would be great to have an Owner Agreement/contract be part of the PM module and use the same functionality as the leases. Send it out for electronic signature and get it filed.
Same for any fees that the owner might owe for signing up for a listing, if applicable.

I checked with Wheelhouse and there's only 13 people they have on the list having requested integration with OwnerRez. I know we've had a lot more folks ask but I hadn't seen the signup form @BluMtnCabins mentioned.

Go to Settings > Holidays and subscribe to the holiday list. We chose the most common ones so if there are extra in your state, you can add them as a custom holiday.

Yep, a dashboard for unreads would be cool. However also keep in mind that the read flags are not an 100% guarantee -- if a user has images disabled or privacy cranked up, their email client won't send the read flag either.
Yep! So much we could drill into on the tracking and splitting of expenses and taxes. I'm sure it'll keep us busy for years to come :-)
Suggestion to improve the filter capabilities in email history
- hover tip to inform users how to use entity ID (eg. cannot just paste ORB12323) or just strip the ORB automatically
- allow filtering on NOT opened emails (currently can do Opened but that's much less useful)
- add picklist of guest names in TO field, sorted by oldest arrival date
Would be nice for owners to have a way to discover when a guest has not read certain emails.
Options would be
- report/list sent to owners daily
- add as a trigger that owners could use to email themselves
- make visible from the Ribbon (my favorite!) along with other alerts such as "unsigned rental agreements" and "not fully paid".
Maybe add a checkbox to email templates so that only certain emails can be flagged as *must read*.
I just checked my email history report filtered down to my most important "thanks for booking" and "arrival day info" emails and in both cases about 10-20% have never been read. Probably these are my problem guests who show up unprepared !

Depending upon the property, the guest gets a paragraph with detailed parking instructions.
Not sure about your use case, but you could literally insert an entire email worth of content uniquely per property as long as it is constant, meaning never changes.

Glad to see updates are planned! Recording visits and reasons would be nice to show owners (especially ones who live nearby and periodically consider managing themselves) how much work we do. ;)
I do have a feature request: assigning a single expense to multiple owners or properties (with options to divide equally or manually enter amounts). If I do a $550 Sam's Club order and have lots of items to split across multiple properties (i.e. buying 5 packages of toilet paper for 5 different properties), it's cumbersome to have to enter 5 different expenses. It'd be much easier to just create a single Sam's Club Order expense and put that $200 of it was for Property A, $250 was for property B, and $300 was for property C.
Bonus points if it can work like the (awesome) Splitwise app and automatically divvy up the sales tax correctly so I don't even have to manually calculate the cost of toilet paper + tax (it's times like these a European VAT system is appealing...). But that's a big ask. ;)
