I guess at least we have it pinned as "Planned" so it is actually chosen for the development cycle at some point. A timeline would indeed be nice. This would definitely greatly simplify this aspect of our operations. Odd that it wasn't a field from the outset.

Hi, all!

We definitely hear you and know how important this is. 

We hadn't marked this as In Development yet because we wanted to make sure we got the design right before our developers started building it out. Taking a look at the work behind the scenes today, it looks like our Design team just wrapped up and we should be getting this into the hands of our developers very soon.

Thanks, Bri! I love the OR platform and appreciate the update. It is frustrating seeing the pace of improvement vs some others (e.g. hospitable). OR is still more fully featured as a whole, but they (and others) are closing the gap quickly.

I'm a little late to the game, but DEFINITELY looking for improvement for triggers. Here is what I recommended via email:

THE ISSUE:

- The trigger creation process to be pretty limited and a little frustrating as a result.


THE GOAL:

- To create 1 (yes, only 1) conditional trigger that sends an email OR sms notification for trash pickup day, 1 day in advance at 6 pm. The “OR” condition responds to a channel vs. email vs. sms scenario.


THE ISSUE, CONT:

- The current setup requires me to create a NEW trigger for EVERY property scenario (ex. Pick up vs. Crew handles), EVERY Booking week day, EACH channel vs direct (ex. “Has real email”) scenario, AND more. And that is only for trash. Not all the other things we want to send out for discounts, services, etc.

 

- With my current level of understanding, the current setup is unsuitable for our most advanced needs and would require A LOT of extra time and tweaking to get it just right.


THE SOLUTION:

- What would it take to add additional conditionality logic to the triggers? I’ll even beta test this for y’all just to save us and countless other PM's the necessary time and effort of creating hundreds of extra triggers.


THE CREDIBILITY:

- A few years ago, I became the resident expert on ActiveCampaign in a national agency setting and grew to appreciate email marketing triggers and conditionality. Since then, I have worked with other systems and got to see different approaches.- Additionally, I currently run a small but mighty dev team and we built custom full stack solutions for various small business and enterprise needs. So if this is an internal resource matter, I don’t mind coming alongside and providing some manpower on the beta testing for "Triggers V2"

Thanks for taking the time to write out those thoughtful considerations!

We currently have a lot of changes coming to Triggers in 2026, much of which are already in development at this time. I do believe we'll address all of your concerns with the work already underway.
