... to make it sound more like an online check-in.
Do you think that by making it sound like an online check-in, that people will wait until arrival to complete it? I state in my listings that the rental agreement is a requirement and to have it signed w/in 72 hours. No issues in the better part of a year that I've been using agreements.
I am trying to set up a property share for another Ownerrez account I manage. I have made an agreement with an owner to pay me a small percentage for bookings made on my website. When you currently setup a property share the properties that are shared on my website can not be booked on my website, I would like for that to change.
First of all I love the new listing description flexibility and am making the most of its capability.
One small oversight.
Information for the AIRBNB SHORT LISTING TITLE needs to be added to DEFAULT DESCRIPTIONS and then prepopulated into the AIRBNB LISTING TITLE.
Please consider adding that value to the DEFAULT DESCRIPTIONS.
Short Description is there, but not SHORT LISTING TITLE (50 char max)
I have so many airbnb guests call me concerned about the legal agreement email. What if it were fashioned more like an online check in? Where they fill out basic contact info and maybe vehicle type along with whatever else and then check a box that consents to terms...
I think it would be more inviting, less threatening and in turn gain more contact info about the airbnb guests.
UPDATE: I have implemented my own form of this with he language i use on my email template. And so far total success. I'm gathering guests contact info almost every time now and no more worries from the guests. I plan to add more elements but for now the basic email subject saying "online check in" is a win!
Can you share your email language? Do you request it right after booking or X days before check-in?
I initially thought this was needed but it already exists with gestures or keyboard shortcuts.... on mobile devices swipe right from edge of screen on Mac control [ will take you back a screen... it's the same as browser back button or gesture
This does work and I appreciate the reply. Unfortunate it's about a 5 click trip rather than just using the search box to turn up the transaction... but this is better than what I was doing... Is there some technical reason we can't use the search box for net deposits?
Hi Donaven,
If you are using Stripe, Lynnbrook, and/or Airbnb, you can look up deposits by amount on the Deposits list. Use the filter to find the Deposit with the net amount matching your bank statement.
the text fields provided in our bank transaction don't seem to easily tie to anything on the booking... so it would be very nice to be able to use the search box to find a deposit amount tied to a particular booking. then I can tie the deposit to a particular property and booking without running reports
Russ, I've used the photo method and it works great on ABB, VRBO and my site. The aspect ratio has been fine. You can always move it higher in the photo list if that's an issue.
Hi Joel,
That will work for me! I didn't realize overriding the OR Website was an option. OwnerRez seems to strip out a lot of HTML when I tried doing collapsible sections with floor plans, also when I tried html modal popups with floor plans but uploading the images gets it done for now.
Not sure if this option is available yet, but in my condo, the pool code changes monthly. It would be nice to have a way for OR update a custom field depending on the month.
Hi Russ, have you tried customizing the Website override of your property description to include your floor plans as inline images?
Hi Caleb,
Thanks for that info. The problem is for multiple homes on a hosted site, this would mean multiple floor plans in the same PDF, or 4 different menus just for floor plans. The floor plans would also be hidden in a menu, but some guests would probably not know where it is since it isn't listed on each property page. For those reasons, having the floor plan tied to each property is preferable. A simple link to the file uploaded above would be nice for each property.
Hello,
You have the ability to upload your floor plans as PDFs within your Account > Files page. This would allow you to grab the public URL for said file, and drop it into a menu on your Hosted Website.
After you've uploaded the file and grabbed the public URL, you'll go to Settings > Hosted Website > (select website name) > click +Create Menu in the Menu & Pages tab. The next screen will allow you to enter your Menu Display Text as you'd like it to appear in your website header, and just below that you'll see the Destination URL. That is where you'll drop the public URL from your Files.
I didn’t realize that the taxes were included. Actually, my preference would be to remove them from the standard report, with the option being to add them.
Hmm... what if you click-and-hold on the location where a mouse-over would trigger the hover?
Hi, I'd rather not click or hover, that's the extra step I'd like to avoid, it's so when you glance at the calendar you'll know exactly where each guest booked from without having to click or hover on each one, it would make my life easier, since I don't plan on API with VRBO any time soon, plus It's for those that handle things differently with each booking platform.
This way if you print screen your calendar it will also show there.
Hmm... what if you click-and-hold on the location where a mouse-over would trigger the hover?
At present there is not. However, we are currently considering a major redesign of this entire process, which would address your concern in a variety of ways. No ETA on that though.
Thanks for the information. It seems like too much information for them to enter during the booking process, and I feel they will move on and not complete the booking. Is there a way to request the information later, to pre-fill a form like the one I have attached, or to add these fields to be filled/captured as part of the legal agreement signing process, separate from the booking process?
I have guests fill out all that info on my legal agreement. Add custom fields then go to legal agreement and insert them. Preview it to make sure it's right. Easy enough. Just set up the custom fields right. Make them "required" and a "booking" type for it to show on legal agreement.
Yes, no indication that they plan to add it in the future either.
Yes, using custom fields:

With the current legal agreement format, is there a way to allow guests to enter additional information, such as additional guests names and phone numbers, vehicle information etc. and submit it back electronically, or is the only information returned the electronic signature?
Any updates on this? We have a couple different Resorts where this could be useful, and also several condos in the same complex. Pool closure, announcements about activities, icy conditions, thunderstorm or tornado warnings, etc.
Agree, I am constantly searching for a bank deposit amount to tie back to a transaction, but the deposit amount does not seem to be searchable... even though "payments" shows as searchable, results don't populate.
Is this still an unsupported feature via api for 2023?
If you need any smaller guys for beta, would love to be included! I own, designed and manage two myself.

Wheelhouse is officially integrating with OwnerRez! If you'd like to be on the list of early adopters and be notified by Wheelhouse when this becomes available to you, fill out the Google Form below:
Could you allow or implement a toggle to search for dollar amounts in transactions from the search field? This may just be a "me" problem but it would help so much with some of my reconciliation bookkeeping. Or I could use a suggestion on how to better be able to find charges from Lynnbrooke/Cardpointe corresponding to chargebacks and things of that nature. Thanks.
Would be extremely helpful!
