RBAC (Role Based Access Control) is what we are asking exactly for this, and it's direly needed as our business grows. We can't have ALL or NOTHING access. It's against all security measures that one can think of.
Is there a possibility to elevate this feature request to a higher priority for a release by end of this year?
At the very least, "Guest Comms" should be turned on or made available while everything else is read-only, that way our team member can start responding and take this load from owners/managers. Comms are 75-80% of the load in this business.

For example, my rental is only available Sat-Sat and it would be nice if it were more clear to the guests when they go to input the dates that they can only check in/out on a Saturday.

I want to add my vote to this list. I need to give certain users access to certain properties, but with more access than the current portal allows. For example, I want them to be able to book the property and handle guest needs/requests.
As far as I understand it, you'd have to temporarily re-enable those disabled properties, run the desired reports, then disable the properties again. FAR less than ideal but should at least provide the data you're looking for.
Yes. The current tag automations are just V1 so we could get the feature release out and allow users to get used to using tags and setting up automatons via the trigger system we already had in place for messaging. In future releases there are plans to expand on the functionality. Add-on/Optional Surcharges are on the list of planned improvements for this feature
Shawn I don't see a way to automate a tag if a booking has a specific SURCHARGE on it. For example a hot tub fee or a pet fee.

It would be nice if we could still report on disabled properties. As a PM, there is often times where you need to go back and look at the numbers for former clients for purposes such as: sending out 1099s, doing some catchup book keeping, etc. All I'm asking is that their past data be visible to the reports without having to temporarily re-enable the property. You're not bypassing anything by having reporting against these as you aren't making use of the main functionality of an active property, which is the channel manager and messaging.
Still needing this receipt function. Owner Rez's menu change from the top bar to a drop down side bar has made printing a receipt even more difficult in some window views. Now, the side menu bar appears and you have to go find a different method of printing that receipt that doesn't show the side bar. This is such a simple additional that would save some users so much time.

I'm looking to see the Payment Detail report pulled for historical years to reconcile to our cash collections in our bank account. The report export page seems to only allow it to be pulled for currently active properties. Is that correct? I know that is the case for the bookings detail report but thought that for a report which is actually based on cash collections I would still be able to pull a report which reconciles to the actual cash collected. Can you please assist? Is there a way that this can be pulled on the back-end somehow?
I have asked for the same thing last year. The basic function any business needs is send invoices /receipts and collect payment. Owner Rez doesn't get we need a basic function. So frustrating.
while the OR hosted sites are very functional, it would be nice to have the following:
1. newer style website templates
2. ability to embed photo galleries/carousels (that are not of the property photos) in the custom OR hosted site pages - ex. creating a page or blog post with photos of local attractions.
3. easier formatting of the custom pages - currently it is difficult to embed photos and make them constrained to the same size/ratio without cropping them in advance, or enter text to the left or right of the photo.
4. The blog thumbnails should be constrained/preformatted to the same size/aspect ratio. the same issue as with the above item - every thumbnail will show a different aspect ratio unless pre-cropped before upload.
5. Optional availability map of search results (i.e display map of available properties with the results of availability/search widget)
Would be great, Paul, if it were added too OR hough. Changes at RemoteLock have made that a significantly less desirable avenue for lock mgmt. We unfortunately have a couple Yale Assure Wifi when we were unable to get Schlage Encodes during COVID. Hate to replace them, but might have to as I am "done" with RemoteLock. The other options are too expensive for most individual hosts.

Have you tried using the Clear Formatting button on the editing bar? Highlight all of your text and Clear Formatting. That may help.
Another trick I'd recommend is that when spacing between paragraphs, hit Shift + Enter instead of just Enter.
Keep in mind that we do have partner integrations who can do guidebooks for you. I'd suggest exploring some of our Guest Communications partners:

You could also build out that guidebook outside of OwnerRez, and then link to it in your OR messaging assuming it is a compatible file type.

Hello, I am trying to provide a professional check-in guide for my guests but am constantly running into formatting issues in the Custom Fields and Templates section. Is there any plans to address this? I was recommended to use Custom Fields for Templates by the OwnerRez staff and I am beginning to regret following this advice.
I am constantly copying and pasting into a new Word document in hopes that it fixes this seemingly arbitrary formatting. For one listing it will double space the paragraphs, for another it is single space, for another it is single and a half, and then the issue is further exacerbated when combining the custom field with a template. For example on one listing the template begins using the custom field on the next line, another will be double spaced down, another will have it on the same line, and another won't register the space bar. I have spent hours trying to get the formatting to be consistent across all listings and I am beginning to think it is not possible. I was convinced using Custom Fields would allow me to automate all of my messages, but instead it is creating individual problems for each listing and I would have been better off with templates for each listing. It does not look professional despite our best efforts.
Why doesn't the format entered match the format shown to the guest??
Would love to see this feature include the name of our team member and what they do for accountability. Right now I can’t tell what my employee does or what I do as they have the same access as I do and distinguishes our activity.
We really need this feature to go live ASAP. Having team access levels per listings is crucial. I can’t expand my business without it. Please make this feature a top priority it will bring more customers to OwnerRez and help us as PM grow.
We use RemoteLock for this very reason.. we have user codes for team members and groups of locks they have access to. RemoteLock connects to Schlage. Being in the software industry integration steps are always better for reliability, so if OwnerRez could do direct to Schlage but could have Team codes and grouping of properties that would be great.
For example, we have a cleaning supervisor who has access to all properties in the area, and cleaners have the homes then there specific locations,general manager has access to all properties, owners have there codes for there specific homes.
All of this is logged so we can have an audit trail of what is going on .

There are a couple of other threads that discuss the use of other apps like Turno and Breezeway.
It would be nice to do the Tag action the other way around. for example.
If a a tag was added manual POOL heat requested for example then you could do automation (ON POOL HEAT TAG ADD DO X)
Also, if a custom field or option was added at check out Tag could be added. eg option item add then tag is added

It would be useful if in the ROOM section where we put in the bed counts in each bedroom, if we could check a box that indicates "this is a bunk bed" instead of adding a number count.
That sounds confusing so let me clarify the problem. We recently had to offer a discount to a group because they were expecting 16 beds in a house when really there were 11. The confusion came into play because one bunk was Queen over Queen, another was Twin over Queen, both with trundles..... and we indicated 3 queen, 1 twin, 2 trundle, '2 bunk' because they were bunk beds. The system pushes that over to Airbnb as though that bedroom had 3 queens, 1 twin, 2 trundles, and an "additional" 2 bunk beds. We need a way to indicate when beds are 'in a bunk setup' because it's not always twin/twin.
Alternatively maybe the notation area in those sections should allow for more characters so we can explain weird things like that. :-) Thank you!
Hello! It would be helpful if we could add vcard files to templates to give guests the option to "one click" add us to their contacts.
When I tried this, the system said that the vcard is an unrecognized file type. It would be very helpful to add the .vcf as an accepted input type in templates.

It would be great if the booking calendar could show the already booked dates as “booked” instead of “blocked” and maybe “selected” as “available”
I get called weekly asking if I can unblock the dates that are already booked by other guests because of the wording.

I would like a field code to a Generic House Manual so that common things such as taking out the trash can be maintained in one field rather than in every single property.
Something like {PINSTMANGEN} to compliment {PINSTMAN} which would be property specific.
I would also like these field codes to also have an option for a URL so that if the manual is lengthy (20 pages) it doesn't get dumped into one email.

I am surprised that no one thought this was a good idea.
The purpose is to be able to send guests a URL link to the property manual rather than the entire manual in one email.
Why would that not be a good idea to do?
