seriously...what am I doing wrong here for my posts to show up multiple times? every time I post, the page blocks on "submitting" for minutes...than multiple posts show up
I removed the tax order to start the process. Honestly, I don't think i really care if the taxes are ordered or not
I added the order back out of curiosity, and the list quality analyzer shows these errors. You said "..OwneRez was considering taxes that were not applied to Google Vacation Rentals"..is there a list somewhere?
Completely unrelated and with 100% acknowledgment that what I'm about to say is not in OR control: GVR feels like Google hired a bunch of high schoolers (by that, I mean folks that don't have any knowledge of the industry) and then let them go nuts on designing and implementing GVR. The rules and regulations make zero sense. Is their product, so they have the freedom to build whatever they want; if I don't like it, then I shouldn't use it. Even so, i stand by what i just said
You should add Wyze to your door locks integration and Zipbooks to your accounting.
It seems some change you have made for others, resolved it for me as well. I was able to create a connection despite a few listing quality errors. Though I think the main issue was lack of 8 photos on some listings. I do feel that it shouldn't prevent creating the connection. Additionally I don't think it should default to included for all property mappings.
For those of us that don't have an OR Hosted Website, it would be really great to be able to view a 'live' preview of the landing page using a link on the GVR Integration page.
Great idea. One we're already working on!
Once you're listed on Google, and find a property of yours, you can click through to the landing page that way.
Hello Shawn,
I’m using a hosted website with all my properties listed under one roof but prices display as unavailable on GVR for some of my properties even though dates selected are available. What can be the problem? Thanks!
Please write into the Helpdesk and we'll take a look.
We've pushed out a couple of tweaks.
Alin S, tdblanchard, NickV, Lauren J - please try again.
Notes:
- "Taxes cannot be ordered" - the issue here was that OwneRez was considering taxes that were not applied to Google Vacation Rentals.
- GVR does not support per-stay pet fees, but we've put in an ignore since Price Accuracy checks shouldn't be looking for those since you can't set number of pets on Google as a prospective guest.
Chris O - we're still looking into this issue. It may take a few days for us to formulate the best fix.
Thanks,
Shawn

Thank you for what appears to have been a Herculean task!

Or is there someplace else to view it that I have missed?
If this should be listed as its own Feature Request, please go ahead and move it.
I'm confused by the request.
Once a quote is created, and before it is sent, you can click on the [Charges] button and then edit them. You can add line items, or discounts or surcharges, or change the amount being charged for particular dates.
What are you trying to do that this capability does not allow for?

Hi
UPDATE: I figured it out. GVR does not allow pet fees, so I removed them.
I am pet friendly and when I try to connect, I get an error message saying “extra guest fees must be per night”. This is in relation to the pet fees that I charge which are $100 per pet for the duration of the stay.
How do I correct this? I do not want to make my pet fee a per night fee.
thanks!
GVR does not support per-stay pet fees.
It would be really nice to be able to upload all my property photos into OR and then have the ability to choose whether they are active or not. Then I could leave seasonal photos inside of OR and simply swap photos in/out of storage and into my listing with ease. It would be a great feature to save time and keep users organized. Ideally the caption would stay with it too so you can remember what it used to say. It would also help with A/B testing on photos in your listing. Thanks for considering!!

When selecting the OwnerRez global landing page (instead of my gvr hosted site), it gives me this error.
I am a technologist and GetSeams is pretty advanced. I would recommend Jervis Systems for novice applications if you do not have a software development background.
Jervis is SOLID.
I went to go enable this and received a number of errors. The main one is related to the fact I can't enable one property at a time, it wants all properties to be connected and since not all properties have met the requirements list, it fails. How can I enable the channel for just one property? Can't we connect the channel multiple times if needed like airbnb and others allow?
UPDATE: It appears based on the instructions you can: https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/google-vacation-rentals-setup-connecting but during first connection you are unable to limit what properties it validates.
Thanks, Chris. We're looking into this one as well.
I get this error for all of our properties...
Pet fees aren't allowed by GVR, go into your surcharges and excluded them from the Google listing channel (https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/google-vacation-rentals-setup-connecting)

They're also incorporating thermostats, cameras, and other devices, which we would find useful. @Jason, any chance you'd be willing to share the integration process you followed?
Our team is working on the Google Nest integration they provide, but we're doing it via AWS Lambda functions that are triggered by Calendar events. Would be infinitely cleaner to have the process directly through Ownerrez.
Thanks, Alin. We're looking into what is causing that.
Fantastic news, thank you so much for all the hard work.
I was curious and just tried to add this channel when i see this error
Yes, i did see in the documentation that taxes cannot be ordered. How do i fix this?
I was hoping OR would just "de-orddered" (that's not a word right?) the taxes in case of GVR or allow in the config page to set the taxes in a different way. I hope i made sense here
Hello all! We have some exciting news (that happens to coincide with Vacation Rental Week 2024). Google Vacation Rentals is now self-service for all users! We wanted to get the word out as soon as possible, but more details are coming in a Product Update blog post later this week. In the meantime, you can read on for a few details and use the links to the current support articles for more information.
We thank those who participated in the Private Beta to help us make it a robust integration!
Please note:
1. Once you turn on Google Vacation Rentals, it's a 2-3 week wait on the Google side before your listing(s) start showing up.
2. Users are no longer required to have an OwnerRez Hosted Website (premium feature) to use Google Vacation Rentals. If you turned on a Hosted Website just for GVR, you no longer need it, unless you want to keep it. Instead, we have released a "The OwnerRez global landing page" option under the Google Vacation Rentals API settings. Prospective guests will be sent to this new landing page where they can see the quote details of the dates they've selected; they can change any of those selections before they click "Book Now," which will send them to the current guest quote acceptance booking form. It will also show any branding you have set up under Theming. Here's a screenshot below of what it looks like, generally.
3. If you have a hosted website and want to use it, you can. You are not required to use the global landing page option.

when can we please have the option to add discount to a quick quote? I just lost out on $280 because I created a quote with a 10% rebook discount for a returning guest). And before I could disable it, someone booked my property and nabbed that discount. Grrrrr!!!! Of course there are no criteria I could have selected for “returning guest” to prevent this from happening. And I don’t like the fact that manually applying a discount ONLY gives me the option to discount on subtotal and not rent alone. Can we please get some fixes for these 2 things, like immediately?
I made a receipt from the data generated in the billings summary email. What was missing was the property information, location and logo. I think a simple receipt using data already available would be a great feature to add.
Personally I would add PDF to billings template and always send after payment was received.
It can’t be that hard. And I think people are creatures of habit, and just use the same email so it’s at least better than nothing
Hello, ORez community,
I have been pondering an idea for a valuable feature - an exportable report showing the number of blocked-off/unavailable nights by listing and month. The only way to get this number is by back-calculating it using two other reports. This method is not scalable or accurate when there are multiple listings for one property in the historical data.
Such a report will allow us to accurately assess asset performance against the market from a historical perspective. If blocked-off days are not accounted for, the market revenue penetration by month is significantly suppressed. If this information was readily available, we could use it to calculate the actual available market revenue ((Market Occupancy * Calendar days in a month - blocked off days) * Market ADR)).
Is anyone else interested in this feature? What does everyone else think about this idea/report?
Airbnb can do this if you are not API integrated, so they have a way to do it. Airbnb support said since I'm API integrated, OR is responsible to present this feature option. They were a bit shocked when I told them OR doesn't have the option. Since this is an option for non-API integrated Airbnb hosts and Airbnb is expecting OR to offer this feature, I would assume the code is in the API and OR just needs to code the access and presentation into the OR website. This would not be at an IP level...it would be at the guest user level.
I’d be happy with blocking email. Would be better than nothing.
