I do see the ticket you sent in, and it's under investigation.  Unfortunately we are not presently able to answer as quickly as we'd like, which is why we are adding to our support team - I actually participated in interviews today.  It may take a few more days, as discerning exactly why a trigger wasn't fired when expected can require digging through the logs, but this type of question is fairly common and a solid answer will be found.

I sent over 8 examples of triggers not being sent. 

In the past 2 days I had close to 10 more triggers that failed to send.

Support has been extremely unhelpful (I got one email 3 days ago and haven't heard back in over 48 hours).

This is not acceptable.

You mean, for people who aren't necessarily guests to sign up for a newsletter or some such?  OwnerRez itself does not provide this capability, but, there are a great many third-party services with their own plugins to do this sort of thing, and which can be added to an OwnerRez Hosted Website.  I know there are quite a few clients who have done this successfully, though I'm afraid I don't have a list of plugins that are "known to" work.  There may be others on this Forum who have, and who would have a suggestion.

I get what you are saying, but i agree with the comment above where this makes it much more difficult to find an ACTUAL issue since every trip is being flagged as a conflict. It would seem to be a simple thing to just not advertise bookings from a channel back to that channel from an ical perspective. The ical feed should only contain native OR bookings or other channels etc.  Maybe add a filter option on the custom external ical setting that filtered by booking source? That would allow users to set this up themselves.

No, it is unfortunately not possible to do this.  But as far as we are aware, the apparent conflict doesn't actually do anything beyond looking odd in your Vrbo calendar, because it is just an illusion.

How you would even have code based discount on google 🤷? have you looked at GVR traveler-facing interface? Unless you mention a code in your google listing description (which most travelers will not notice that code there), they would not even know about it.

I am observing this same issue as we only use VRBO (red conflict for every booking). I do not see a way to create a specific ical feed with just bookings taken directly in OR for example, which would be what is required here. Is this possible?

GVR does not allow positioning.. What you can try  is tick "percent of rent" on the discount set up and that should take care of it.

Hello! We are hesitant to use API and are having the same conflict issue. Just to make sure I understand correctly we can make a custom calendar, then exclude the current VRBO bookings, and that should fix the conflict? Thank you!

Hi Cheryl, we do plan to expand our automatic deposit import feature to include more processors, but it's unlikely that that will include OpenEdge.  We have very few customers using the OpenEdge gateway (only a couple dozen) and the OpenEdge integration does not allow for deposit/batch requests, so we could not actually do the sync process with them.  Their parent company, Global Payments, does have some newer methods, but we'd have to rebuild the integration from scratch to take advantage of those.  However, like I said, we are planning to expand the automatic deposit import to include Authorize.Net, Converge, Braintree, and some of the more heavily used processors.

I appreciate honesty but find Ken's response unhelpful. 

As a property manager with frequent property changes, reports for historical data are crucial.

The suggested workaround is simplistic. It requires a manual record check of which properties were active for a given year since there is no report for this data either, property reactivation, calendar blocking to prevent future bookings, report generation, and deactivation. Estimated time for just 5 properties within a particular year would take about 7 hours away from a day of work- a significant time investment.

This process of re-enabling, blocking calendars, and disabling properties just to see historical reports is cumbersome, ridiculous, inefficient, and unreasonable.

Data shouldn't be hidden. The data belongs to the user and should be readily available, not "held hostage."

The news about Google Vacation Rentals is fantastic ... thank you! In regards to discounts ... I put them in position 2 so they don't apply to the Cleaning Fee (in position 3). If GVR doesn't allow discount positioning, is there a recommended strategy? Thanks!

I suspect this may be related to the trigger settings - you most likely want to make use of a Condition based on Pending Status.

Can you write in to the Helpdesk with the specific booking, and we'll take a look?

Hi -

We just got a booking request from VRBO, and even though we hadn't confirmed the booking, the request triggered the "As soon as booking is created" message to the guest. They then filled out the forms, entered their credit card, and effectively booked the house without our approval. We've been using OwnerRez for about a year now and never had this happen. I tried to search the forums for any notes on this but didn't find any. Do we need to modify our trigger in some way so this doesn't happen again?

I can't seem to find the setting to edit my contact info in the email footer that is sent to guests in triggers and just in general if I email them from OR. 

I want to add my Google voice and not my personal number. 

I don't want to have to go in and edit every single template, and if I do that footer still auto shows up in every email.

Hi All

I'm trying to do something pretty simple but I'm getting hit by error messages. I'm just trying to get an Airbnb Listing to import into OR. I've already sent this info to Support but I thought I would check to see if anyone on here had any ideas? I've restarted, tried Firefox and Chrome, waited, but nothing is changing. Any Ideas?

Even though you may be logged into your Air BNB account and you can access and edit your listing Airbnb will still prompt you for 2FA details when you try to access the Upcoming Transactions from the Transaction History menu. In AirBnB if you go to the completed payouts Tab first and then switch to the other tab Upcoming Payouts you should get a pop up to authenticate via Text message or Phone Call. 
As long as you are able to view these transactions directly in Airbnb then Channel Bridge should work. You should makes sure you have Air BNB open in a separate tab to Channel Bridge.
If you still don't get the 2FA pop up then try clearing your browser cache or use another browser.

Hi Ken,

Yes, that was the problem.  One of the properties had both Vrbo numbers under it.  I corrected that and now it works!

Will do tomorrow. I'm changing the settings from: do not retry, to setting a cutoff time many hours after the case. Think that will help?

We're not aware of any large-scale cause for this, but, there are a great many possible reasons in specific individual cases, some of which are not obvious.  Please write in to the Helpdesk with specific examples, booking numbers, triggers, and if possible screenshots, and we'll get to the bottom of it with you.
