Yes, this would be good. It should also be a tag in the message system. Right now if a guest books with an infant, the infant does not show on any confirmation emails, which has lead to some confusion.
Does the title not show on the calendar? Personally, I don't see the difference between it showing as booked versus blocked for the season. Either way, the end result is the same, the guest can't book it.
I agree with Paul. The technology isn't very helpful yet and there are already chatbots for real estate for several years now that you can put on your site that will answer questions that the guest could spend two seconds looking up on the property listing. Anything beyond that which can be programmed (wifi codes, property info, etc.) still needs flesh and blood. "Will you make an exception for..." cannot be an AI given answer.
Should I turn this into an FR or is it already captured?
I want to use this feature for when we are closed for the season. However, in the availability widget it shows blocks as “Booked" -- which makes guests think that the property is bookable but already taken.
Feature Request: When creating the bulk block-off, allow me to name the block. For example, I might change it from “Booked” to “Closed” or “Off Season”.
Today the system supports Adult and Child guests. We have 3 rate tiers: Adult, Child and Infant.
Feature Request: Add Infant as a guest type (or a user-definable guest type) and allow me to create a different surcharge/add-on for that guest type. Pets is an example that works -- I'd be happy if I could just change the name from Pets to Infants.
Please integrate with another accounting system besides Quickbooks, which costs over $1000/year (If you want to use classes to track different properties, which everyone needs if they have more than one property)
Stessa is great, it's designed for rental properties, and it's free. Other options are Xero and Freshbooks and Wave
Quickbooks is a huge overkill for a rental business, and difficult to learn for most people. The only reason people use it (and integrate with it) is because it's a well-known name.

Speaking for myself personally, to this very day I have never yet found any sort of AI-based automatic response system that has given me the slightest bit of useful, relevant information that a standard Google-type search could not have done. Systems that force me to attempt to use such a system rather than submitting a conventional support request, strongly push me to go to a less controlling competitor.
We are carefully watching this technology develop, and it could be that eventually it will be sufficiently mature, relevant, accurate, and reliable to be trusted with our client's needs, perhaps as one option among others. At present, I've seen no evidence of it rising even to that level, nor that it will do so anytime soon. But I am glad to be proven wrong by facts, experiments, and research.
As you might expect, there are others at OwnerRez that are more enthusiastic about the promise of this technology, which is great - we can discuss and critique opposing views, as we seek to provide the very best possible support and service for our clients.
Generative AI is the future of search and responsiveness.
This is going to be the future in all industries for interactions.
And that is a terrible thing for everyone involved :(
I would love to have the option to have tags show on the ribbon view. Would be great to see at a glance properties that have added an early check in/late check out or owners stays on the Ribbon view.
Would ALSO love to see the tag "OWNER STAY" so we are visually aware when owners come and go :)
Thanks!!!
That is a slick dashboard!
+1 for this
Semrush points out a warning for every blog post on my site because blog posts don't have meta description tags
We use SPOT PRICING and soon will be using PRICE LABS
It would be a huge timesaver if you could export existing seasons, change the names, alter dates, etc. and then import them back in to create new seasons.
Currently the calendar displays the name and number of guest total in parens. i.e. "John Jones (8)". It would be helpful if this could be broken out with Adults/Children/Pets, maybe as an option or preference. i.e. "John Jones (4/4/1)". There probably a lot of options you could put on each booking and make it over crowded, but having a few self configurable options would be nice.
Can we have a simple CLOSE button or even add duplicate SAVE?CLOSE at the TOP of the preview. When previewing something long I find I often want to close but have to scroll to the bottom. With long messages or some of the Property Description blocks, this can get annoying very quickly.
Thanks.
Chuck
Something like this is indeed planned, and has been for a long time, but isn't in the near-term path.
Yes, we actually are planning a major functionality overhaul of the support docs, including versioning for internal tracking, though I don't know if that part of it will be visible to end users. For sure, revision dates will be part of that.
+1 for "last updated" date
Looks like you have considered working on this issue since July 2021 it will soon be two years, how can we get this higher in the future programming?
Since I have to get SMS notifications using email for OR, can we not include the entire SMS message in the email notification? That way we don't have to click yet another button, "read more", just the read a short SMS message.... almost every reply we get via SMS requires clicking read More, to see the entire message... makes not sense not to send the entire message in the email. It's an email... why is it truncating text? Please expand to include the entire message.
As we are constantly looking to improve our communications with vendors and guests... We have been updating templates and triggers... I found out the hard way that "Unfortunately, , the system can only fire triggers on bookings which were created the trigger was created. " Even though when I look at the scheduled messages for a booking event, it shows that it will send, and indicate NO issues... but it does not fire even though it says it will and you are left wondering why... well we have tons of bookings that it won't work for with no fix, they just have to drop off eventually and somehow I'm suppose to remember which booking came in before which triggers were created!! Yikes. Sort of frustrating to only hit new bookings... Anyone else benefit from triggers working on all bookings after they are set to active and the event occurs?
