Hi SBF VR,
Unfortunately, there are no API end points for saving or storing files. However, I converted this forum thread to a Feature Request, so that you (and others) can up-vote it.
Should be very easy to do. Please!!
Yes
Any API calls for the Files area of a booking? I want to collect and store the guest's photo ID as part of the booking and looks like I'll need to create a page for that, so it'll save some steps if I can take the uploaded file, compress it down a bit to keep it under 1M and then store it on the booking record.
This would be very helpful
Yes please!!!
Hi Chris,
I send my clients a "New Booking" notification email as well as a "Booking Final Report" email for each booking.
In those emails I want to include all of the fees (or expenses) charged to the client (property owner) for each booking.
The custom fields I've created for those fees are:
Payment fee (cc processing fee): BXPAYFEE
Airbnb Host Fee: BXABBCOM
VRBO Pay-per-booking fee: BXPPBCOM
VRAssist Commission: BXVRACOM
I also manually add my commission fee to the Transactions > Fees section of the booking so it will be captured in reports.
Currently I have to manually fill in the custom field codes with the appropriate fees so that they are included in the email templates sent to the owners.
See the link below for one example:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/18YF4pcBFIiWl46Ro7w_-GEfs4TcX76RQpV4NhDtKpDM/edit?usp=sharing
I was hoping that there was a field code that would pull anything entered in the Transactions > Fees section of a booking that we could included in an email sort of like the Billing Details table pulls the charges of the booking into a table.
That's right, there's not a field code for particular fees or for the table itself.
There are field codes for the guest fee total and the host fee total, if that helps.
What particular fees are you trying to pull out?
Is it currently possible to include a table or a list of all of the fees entered in a booking's Fees section under "Transactions" in an email template?
I don't see a field code available for that "Fees" section.
I send an email to my clients for each booking that sends the billing details table {BCTAB} but I also want to inform them of the specific fees related to the booking.
I've had to create my own work-around by creating a custom field code for each kind of fee that I might enter in that section but I have to manually enter the fee name/amount in each custom field code on every booking.
Thanks for any help!
This is one of the reasons I still have to manually generate my owner statements each month, pulling data in from OR owner statements & reports to get it to offer the information as well as the look/layout I need.
YES YES YES!
YAY! I just finished reading the most recent release notes... I live for these updates! :)
Funny you should mention that, this is already on our roadmap! Keep an eye on our release notes!
A friend recently experienced a guest lock-out mid-stay because somehow the "regenerate code" button was accidentally clicked on the OR booking details screen. YIKES! This can happen so easily -- scrolling down the page on mobile, trying to swipe back on mobile, grabby toddler fingers, you name it!
It would be ideal to have a confirmation requirement that needs to be clicked again when attempting to regenerate a guest access code. This would help avoid accidental code changes -- which I'm now overly paranoid about!
Hi Kim,
There isn't a "has no review" criteria on triggers, but that's a great idea. I'm converting this thread to a Feature Request so others can see and vote on it.
I am trying to only send a reminder review request email if a review has not been received. I cannot locate where to set it up as a booked criteria or other area to NOT send it again if one was received.
Hi Brent, good idea! However, the "scheduled email" feature is deprecated and will be removed in the future. We encourage the use of triggers for sending emails that go out at scheduled times. Sending other ad hoc messages at scheduled times will be supported but via a different mechanism.
I should be able to set the time and date when scheduling emails outside of triggers. Currently, you are only able to set the date when manually scheduling messages. I do not want messages sent at 2 am anymore.
Just wanted to circle back and let you know that the update to show the non-refundable discount in the cancellation policy merge fields has been released.
Especially now that we have offline deposit ability with Airbnb, often we are sending guests an email with BUFIXUP so that they can (1) enter contact details (2) sign rental agreement (3) leave card on file for secdep. Unfortunately there's no way to send a trigger with the semantics "any of the BUFIXUP items are missing". So this is a request for a new trigger criteria "Needs fixup" which would fire if any items requested by BUFIXUP are missing. Currently the workaround is to create multiple triggers which is a pain.
An alternative would be to provide the ability to have OR boolean trigger conditions instead of always assuming AND. But then you get into other complexities such as groupings (do you allow specifying parenthesis around conditions) etc...
Just a simple widget with a scrollable 3, 6, or 9 propertie displayed at random to display on a homepage.
I know this is already on the list somewhere, but did want to put it here in hopes there's wide spread interest in it.
For properties that I co-host, I can't communicate with the guests via OR, as it comes across on the Owners account. I have to use the Airbnb app/website if I want it to show as me chatting. Would be nice to keep all property, direct or co-host, communications through the OR platform.
A report that would compile statistics on where my guests are traveling from is what I'm hoping for.
Thanks, Ken.
What are you looking for? We do store, and display, their address.
Where are my guests from? It'd be really great to know where my guests are originating from.
On the booking, quote or Inquiry pages show the day of the week. This saves having to open a calendar app to show the day of week.
Example:
Quote: Betty Boop at Captain Morse House
Quote # ORQ2964621
Arriving Aug 14, 2022 and departing Aug 20, 2022 (6 nights)
Would show instead
Arriving Sunday, Aug 14, 2022 and departing Saturday, Aug 20, 2022 (6 nights)
Is there any way to add space for TEXT in the cleaning date field? We assign cleaners to units a month in advance and when we print the daily checklist it would be AWESOME to see their name next to the date.
Yep, from a reporting side it can be complex if parent listings are split across owners -- you either have to create a combination owner or do things by hand as you're doing.
We are thinking about how best to address this, but it is pretty complex to get right (what if owner share changes, etc.). And it should also flow into other places like occupancy reports etc. Lots to do!
We've got plans to improve the alert system, but for the time being, the best way to handle that is to disable the alerts you don't need to see.
Most of the alerts you receive should be listed in Settings > System Alerts. If there are any you get that you don't see on the system alerts page, send us a ticket. There are a few we have not gotten around to upgrading yet.
Great, thanks! Looks like changing my profile address didn't change the from: address on my theme, so all is good.
That said, I will keep my vote for this feature request because I think some flexibility in the system about directing certain types of messages (e.g. inquiries) to specific email addresses would be helpful. To be honest, a lot of the bulk messages generated by the system (SecDep scheduled, SecDep released, etc.) are background noise and largely ignorable, so I'd like them to go to an archive, but some messages (e.g. SecDep failed, payment failed, inquiries, etc.) need to be dealt with and having those go to an account I actually monitor would help separate the wheat from the chaff.
