We have several guests that want to be notified if we get a cancelation. It would be great to have a way to easily track this.
I apologize if this request is already out here but I have looked through them and didn't see one.
1) Ability to grant users (cleaner/housekeeping) access to change the cleaning date
2) Ability to create a cleaning dashboard with a calendar type view that would show the scheduled cleaning date
3) Grant users access to Stays report
Look forward to hearing from you :)
Sincerely,
Emma B
Hi Dori,
I believe the new recommended way is to turn on your location tracking in QB online. Once this feature is turned on you can link the locations in your OR QB property settings.
Hope this helps!

Would it be possible to to a trigger (for message or email) to a guest on a specific day of the week as long as they are staying at the rental (and also maybe a 'grace period'). For example, I like to send a message every Thursday to whomever renters are occupying the rental at the moment to request that they take garbage out to the road for a Friday Morning pickup. Hence if they stay there over the course of three Thursdays, that reminder would go out every Thursday. An optional grace period such as 1 or 2 days would eliminate the message being sent if they for example arrived on a Thursday.... I guess either a grace period OR just the elimination of day of arrival from the trigger.
I have been filling out all sorts of information in the past unique benefits section about the family campground where a majority of my homes are not to find out that this information isn’t displayed in the website. Can this be done?

I would like for the website to have just a general tab that can complete to tell about us as owners/property managers.
I would also like to see a tab that would explain the inquiry and booking process, it can tail about the payment options and basic information That the guest now doesn’t get until they inquire.
I also would like this feature, I have it automated, but continue to manually type it to them, which makes it so it is still something in the process I cannot automate. This would be a great feature!
Addition of a field where after booking a home the names addresses and ages of each guest could be listed. This would help verify the number of occupants in the home oh and would also be a great asset in the event of an emergency.
I'm afraid I don't. They're already aware of our API, and we've had discussions about it several times in the past. It's not difficult for them to do, it's just a matter of their own development priorities.
I actually do think that "We have a lot of OR customers ready to use Wheelhouse" would make a difference, if that was the price of them obtaining a bunch of new clients.
Hey Ken. I fully understand OR’s side. I was just asking if you had some guidance that I could use to push Wheehouse’s side. I’ve not done an API integration for pricing tools before, so if there’s a clean way for me to go to them and say “Hey guys! We have a lot of OR customers ready to use Wheehouse, all you need to do is have your dev team sync these 15 items (and list them) I think I could get a post like that to climb their suggestion box. Just a standard “please integrate with our OPM” post doesn’t seem to get much traction from users or the dev team.
I'm afraid we don't anticipate having the development resources available to write our own integration with them. We already integrate with several other dynamic pricing systems, so it's not a priority to add another one to serve our clients.
We do have an open API and would be happy to support and assist them in integrating with us. They've talked about doing this several times, but I guess it's not a top priority for them either.
Since they have an open API and OR has an open API, can you help explain the stalemate? I am happy to organize and push them toward integration but Wheelhouse is saying the same thing as you are when I bring it up to them. I’m happy to do what it takes to tilt their hand. Any insight into what exactly they would need to do would be very helpful though. That way it’s more structured than a normal “I really wish you’d spend dev time integrating with my OPM!” post and much more of a structured instruction post that can get some support behind it. Thanks in advance.
We've had discussions with them, and they may establish an integration at some point, but the ball's in their court. Feel free to push them on that though!
Looks like Wheelhouse has opened up their APIs. Have you all seen this? https://www.loom.com/share/98f103020597468d8f1de0a8373700ca - start at the 2:48 mark.
Something you all can look into, please? They say to email them at partners@usewheelhouse.com

Any way to change the language for the adjacent night field?
Currently it returns the phrase "night after (departing 2/22)". I find this language awkward and it makes my upsell email awkward, as I have to write a sentence to accommodate this exact phrasing.
It would be much easier if this field simply returned the day / date of the adjacent check-out, such as "Monday, February 22." Then I can write my template with clear language, such as "This would extend your booking one night, making your check-out Monday, February 22."
Thanks for considering.
It looks like July 2020 was the last update on this topic. Has there been progress in developing the option to schedule multiple payments?
On various screens where taxes are shown (especially https://app.ownerrez.com/taxes, but perhaps also in the booking charges and elsewhere), can a total of all the displayed taxes be shown?
With 12 different properties across 5 different tax zones (and they keep changing taxes, too), remembering the taxable total can be impossible, and I have to resort to manually adding up the percentages to get the total. I refer to the taxes frequently so I can calculate accurate totals when I send requests through Airbnb's resolution center for things like pet fees, so having a place the actual total tax rate for a property is shown would be fantastic.
Bear in mind that these notes only indicate TI purchased through OwnerRez; we have no way to know if they bought it from Vrbo or elsewhere.
If the guest purchases travel insurance it IS documented in the booking activity notes:
Activity
Jun 17, 20 - The booking was entered.
Jun 17, 20 - Scheduled a payment for the remaining balance to be paid on 6/24/2020.
Jun 17, 20 - Purchased a travel insurance policy for $224.17
Jun 17, 20 - Collected a payment of $1,143.72 from credit card Visa *****.
Jun 24, 20 - Collected a payment of $1,143.71 from credit card Visa *****.
Jul 12, 20 - The booking was canceled.
We don't receive a "notification" when it is purchased, true, but it is at least noted in the booking.
We can also run a report for Insurance to identify bookings that have purchased Damage Insurance, Travel insurance, or both.
If your concern is that you might issue a refund on a cancelled booking when they've purchased insurance you can add a step to your process to either check the booking activity notes or run the insurance report first to identify if the guest has purchased the insurance.
In Owner Statement Views… booking columns — would love owners to be able to see the listing channel that each booking came in on. It instantly helps clarify for homeowners the difference in pricing, channel fees, tax structure, etc. as platforms handle things differently than direct bookings. Is there any scope to add the listing site / channel as a column option so this can be displayed? That field shows up elsewhere in reports, so I'm hoping it can be added here as well.
There are several other useful data points that also don't appear on Owner Statements but do in Booking Detail report or Line Item Pivot report. As the data is piece-mealed across multiple reports, I'm really struggling to export the data in a way that allows us to grab all the info we need for each monthly statement we provide our owners.

It's mostly by adding links. If you scroll to the footer area, you'll see that there are FB and Instagram links there which show on every page. You can add FB badges/like buttons as well. But it's a drop-in type thing, not a direct integration. There is a way to embed our widget directly in Facebook as a tab for Book Now and Availability tabs (right on your FB page) but it requires 2k follows. More on that here:

The Trigger Forecast (https://app.ownerrez.com/triggers/forecast) is a useful tool, especially after I've made updates to my triggers and I want to see what's actually going to get sent out. (I've made changes before that have resulted in all my upcoming guests accidentally getting sent something I didn't mean for them to get.)
Unfortunatelty, the Trigger Forecast tool is hard to actually use because it's cluttered up with all of the triggers that won't actually be sent--ones where the trigger doesn't apply, or the trigger doesn't match any criteria yet, etc. I have 1,605 entries in my Trigger Forecast, but viewing 100 on my first page, only 6 of the listed triggers are actually ones that will be sent. Having to page through dozens of pages does not make the data easy to digest.
The "Filter" function already has options to exclude ones that have already run or have been skipped. My request would be to add two additional criteria to the Filter function:
-Exclude Can't Run Yet
-Exclude Will Not Run
Ticking those boxes would clean up the list and make it far easier to see what messages will be going out.
I'm afraid at present, the colors are not configurable. We will likely redesign the calendar controls at some point, and add this capability among many others.
Not to mention when guests ask questions about fees or listing details or such, it helps to know so we can say things like "the fee you paid Vrbo is controlled by them" or "if you scroll down through our Expedia listing, you can see all of the amenities we offer," etc.
I just default these days to using "Vrbo" in those instances (now that the HomeAway brand is gone) but they still do have several brands, and this can be confusing to guests.
Add batch copy capability to property description screen. For managers with numerous properties that are listed on multiple channels this would save a lot of time.
The batch copy would allow you to copy the property description values from one property to other properties. This would work like the batch copy on RATE screen.
Another benefit is that it would ultimately lead to more complete listings as it literally takes hours to fill out all the items on that screen when dealing with multiple properties. As a result many of the areas never get filled out.
Thank you
I'm testing out OR to migrate from another company. How do I specify the color of the listing sites when viewed in the calendar option 'Color by Listing Site'? Right now VRBO = Gray, AirBnB=Maroon, and MyVR = Burnt Orange. The Air/MyVR colors are too close for me to quickly discern and I'd like to contrast them better. I have searched but either I don't know the right term to look for or this info is not available. TIA.
Update 1/23/24: It is nice to see this topic get some votes, thank you. Updating my post to include screen shot of the colors that appear only when selecting the Year view and then selecting color by listing site. I normally view by Month and these colors are not an option. And if they were, the colors that are presented in the year view, by listing site, are either too dark (purple) or similar (air and direct). Personally, I prefer lighter colors to highlight that are not similar and easy to see the date.
I feel this is pointless personally, we integrate with Quickbooks via ownerrez so if there was ever a situation where we needed to charge an owner we would create an invoice within quickbooks and send them an invoice to pay via card or bank transfer to pay that invoice.
but ive never personally had a reason an owner would owe me more than what i owe them.
