Thx Caleb. Some sort of property share referrer url parameter would be a start. We do use the custom sources, but need to know which source referred them. Can a url parameter be used to pre-populate a custom attribute on a booking? Thx!
Seriously, want to know! My processor is Lynnbrook and I learned after Demo today that Lynnbrook does not integrate at this time with Clearing! These are two very important companies who focus on vacation rentals and should connect. Does anyone have any experience with Lynnbrook and their response as to why they will not connect? I sent an email to Lynnbrook regarding my interest and hope that they consider.
Thanks
Hi there!
What exactly are you trying to accomplish with an integration between Lynnbrook and Clearing? We'd love to know more so that we can get a better understanding of why such an integration would be useful to you!
Thanks Bri! I want to capture Airbnb in the accounting piece as well. Quickbooks is not ideal and overwhelmingly clumsy. I sent an email to Lynnbrook with a few questions after they replied and I am waiting to hear back. I would like to see more on Clearing in general. To be honest the demo was way too fast! I would love to see a cohosted webinar between OwnerRez and Clearing to show how they work together. To my knowledge, as a Lynnbrook processing customer, I am not able to use Clearing since my processor needs to be api connected. Perhaps I am misunderstanding, I am not sure. Maybe I am overthinking it. Do you know of anyone using Clearing at this time? Thanks again!

Hi,
There's no automatic means to attribute bookings to individual property shares at this time. However if you create a custom source then you should be able to manually assign bookings to the individual custom sources as a rough workaround.

Beyond that we have had discussions revolving making source tracking more granular as they relate to hosted sites, though the details and confirmation of this I can't confirm at this time.

Yes, Double beds sleep 2. Your logic seems correct, so, please write in to the Helpdesk with information about this problem so we can investigate and figure out what's going on.
Hi Valerie,
There is no "Go-Live" button within OwnerRez currently, the closest thing we'd have in the system and what we general recommend to aim for is API integration with the main channels.
We have some articles here that detail that,
https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/channel-management-api-integrations-vrbo-setup-connecting
These would be part of step 14 on the checklist: https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/setup-checklist#apis
Alternatively you could setup iCals when you're ready to start generating bookings between channels:

How many people does OwnerRez count a double bed can sleep? I would assume 2 but now I keep getting this error message " Max guests rule (10) is different than sleeping arrangements (8)"
There's a King, Queen, and 3 Doubles = 10 sleeping spaces right?
Airbnb handles all their own guest payments - you cannot use your own processor for that. However, you can use Stripe to do direct security deposits for Airbnb bookings. You'll also need it for Vrbo, and for direct bookings via your own website.
Hello,
I just started setting up my account with Ownnerez and included a stripe payment processor. Is this linked to Arbnbn for payment when it is not a direct booking or do I need to set up a payment account on ARBNB?
We're not aware of any change in how Lynnbrook handles this. Please write in to our Helpdesk, and cc Lynnbrook support, so we can get this clarified and make sure the process is as smooth as possible.
There was a bug in the release on Wednesday that was preventing setting codes on manual door locks in some cases.
That's now fixed and you should be able to set codes again as normal.
I am getting requests for this again.
I asked Lynnbrook and they said they can no longer do this for merchants.
What is the easy way to take care of this request since it is OR that is handling the CC processing.
Hi; I have Airbnb and VRBO connected via API to OR. I got a new booking from Airbnb, but the booking is waiting for payment; that booking shows the dates as unavailable in Airbnb (both to in the host calendar and if another Airbnb guest wants the same dates, they are not available). The thing is, those dates are open and available in OR, so if I simulate a direct booking, a VRBO booking, or even an Airbnb booking, it says the dates are available...does anybody know why is this happening?
I pay for all channel fees not passing through to the owner although that would be much easier! I up everything by 10% Then when a booking comes through I backout 10% of the rent and put in as management fee to recoup the channel fees.
I have been trying to figure out the same thing. Following to see if anyone has any great solutions!
I am having this same problem. I have also seen other owners complaining of this in Facebook groups. Have you heard anything on this from OwnerRez?
No, no response yet from OW. To circumvent this limitation, I created a custom field, and I'm using it in all messages that previously had the booking door code.

Hi Susan,
I believe you're referring to a setting within Schlage? If so, then currently we'd recommend checking with them directly to see if they have an ability to configure that as the default.

I'd recommend writing in to our Helpdesk for more specific assistance. Looking at your account, I see that it is configured in USD, so if your QuickBook account is configured for a different currency as you say, that is going to cause all sorts of problems. But, it's not as simple as just changing the currency in OwnerRez, because that also has to match the currency set in your listing channels as well as your payment processors. OwnerRez does not control any of those - you have to manually ensure they're all on the same currency.
No, OwnerRez does not do any currency conversion, arbitrage, etc. - it changes constantly. Each individual property in your OwnerRez account can have only one currency assigned to it, and, your payment processor needs to be in that same currency. If a guest is from another country, the payment processor will normally handle the currency conversion automatically, and transparently to you.
Hi Ken,
Please assist. My Quickbooks has a default currency of KES (multicurrency has been turned on as well). However finalising a booking in USD generates an invoice in KES without conversion. How can i sync the currency on my OR to reflect the same currency on QB as set under quickbooks property settings.

Thanks! Then do you reimburse the owner the 5% passing it through to them when you provide the monthly statement? I was thinking of charging 10% on everything since VRBO charges 5% on the entire reservation less tax. Trying to figure out a way to pass this through to the owner is the most important thing to me. Would love to hear how everyone is handling it. :)
I up everything by 10% under API connections. Then back out 10% out of rent and setup a separate line item for VRBO fee.
But now that we're talking, do we get charged 10% on everything or is it only the rent?
This is the first property (the one I was able to enter the door codes, before adding the new one)
and this is the new property
Hi. I have setup Manual Lock integration, as I have locks with 3 already created codes that I assign to bookings in a rolling basis, feature that is not available in OW.
I created the Manual Lock integration, with the option "Don't generate, I will assign codes one by one" on, is Active, and assigned one property to it. Then did a Batch Update Bookings, and worked fine, was able to go to each booking and click the Set Code next to Door Code and enter the code.
I then added another property to OR, added it to the Manual Lock integration, did the Batch Update Bookings, and now, what i see is, for the 1st property, I still see the codes I entered, but I no longer able to change it, and for the new property, I see Door Lock Not Set, but there is no Set Code link.
Does anybody know why is this happening? Thanks a lot for your help with this matter.
Hi everyone. I'm getting started and working through the checklist. As I work through it, I'm wondering if there is an official "go-live" button at the end so that it's clear to me when the transition to owner Rez has occurred. In the meantime, I'm fearful of importing all airbnb over and wondering if that is turning it live. Thank you so much!
Valerie
We have the same question... can we attribute a Property Share originated Booking to a specific Listing Site?
I recently integrated with Schlage to have automatic door codes set which has been fabulous. However the default is to have the "notify me when code is used" toggled off, and I have to manually go and change it for each guest. Any idea how to set it so that when a new code is generated, the notification is also on? Thanks!
