I understand the concept. I tried it every which way (segmented, non segmented, tailored, generic). It is a waste of time and effort. Most emails probably ends up in spam (never opened) and the few that are - generate no activity. I think email is dead as advert medium. Don't know about you, but every time I log into my email, all I do is delete delete delete. So does everyone else.

You want to segment your mailing list so you can target newsletters to a specific audience. Content that applies to a specific audience will get better response than general content blasted to everyone.

You may either send completely different newsletters to somebody who inquired and didn't book, vs those that booked.

Or you might send the same newsletter, but use some logic fields to reference when they stayed, or inquired, etc. to make the message personalized to their situation.

Would love to be able to create a surcharge that is a percentage of the rent with an absolute minimum charge. For example on the LDW there would be a minimum charge of $27.00 but I would like to be able to charge XX% of rent. So for example I would like to charge the fee as 3% of rent. On a 1000.00 rent charge it would be a charge of $30.00. If the rent were only 500.00 then the charge would be $27.00 instead of the calculated 3% of $15.00.

The challenge the original poster mentioned is that certain fees are calculated as a percentage of gross revenue, which is only attainable (if prorating for the period) by generating an owner statement.

I can't speak to her specific example, but one that impacts us is that a business tax needs to be charged to the owner that is a percentage of total monthly revenue. This is not a tax that can be passed to guests so it's not included in booking fees/charges. The total prorated/in-period revenue for the month is what it needs to be calculated on. In order for us to add it as an expense, we currently have to create an owner statement to obtain that prorated/in-period revenue amount. Then we calculate the business tax, delete the statement, add the expense, and create a new statement.

It would be nice to be able to have a search and replace function for all email templates including system messages. I made a global change recently that required a lot of searching across many templates.

In the meantime I have seen that the enquiry widget (for instance) can be set in different languages. It's a debut but other pages/steps to bookings remain in English.

We're working in this direction, for sure. At the moment, most browsers support auto-translation capability, and our new Tags feature makes it possible to have different email templates in different languages that are used for different properties or specific guests.

I am actually making an assessment of Ownerrez (on a mock website) and studied its features before asked several questions etc. It never came to my mind that it was not multi-language... What a pity, because so far it looks great.
I hope it's on its way as there is no way using a booking system for international tourism without multi-language.

You can use the {BTGUESTFEE} field to include all the guest amounts paid to the channel.

We've decided that, for the foreseeable future, our various housekeeping system partners do an excellent job, and it would be a mammoth task to try to duplicate it. So we won't be adding any new cleaning features in OwnerRez - if you need something more sophisticated, use one of our integrations with them.

The right way to handle this would be by uploading those extra Expenses, which we recently made possible.

That way, they can be included in the statement when it is generated, so you wouldn't need to edit it.
