Add ability to require a custom field based on the value of a TAG
There are a couple of Trigger examples you can use to get the ideas flowing:

When doing automatic deposits, allow COGS categories to be an appropriate expense category. Our merchant fees are billed to COGS in QB.
Hi,
The criteria selectors are incomplete without "And" & "Or" functions; at least for discounts and surcharges.
In the real world, if a discount is applicable for a given period it means that it applies to each night on this period and not to others. For instance if a discount is offered for (nights of) Dec. 1 - 10, it means that someone booking from Dec. 5 to 15 will get the discount for the nights of 5 - 10, then the normal rates for the remaining nights.
When setting this up using arrival and departure dates, it does not work at all. Someone leaving after the set departure date will not get any discount, which is not logical. There's a way around it by using seasons instead of arrival / departure criteria but in some cases it requires creating additional seasons = an extra hassle. I guess that adding "And" & "Or" functions would solve this.
Also
It would be great to be able to set whether a discount / special offer or surcharge is "combinable" (cululative) with another special on the same period. For instance, you could have a 10 % discount for weekly stays and a 20% discount for last-minute bookings. In some cases they are cumulative, in most they are not.
Thanks for taking note.
Its would be great to have two separate prices, one for non-refundable bookings (at a discount) and separate price for refundable bookings
This is an absolute must;
We now have no history of who is making changes to bookings and when changes occur to bookings themselves.
Ownerrez however is tracking all of this internally from what i understand, please bring it to the front so users can see.
Agreed;
This is a must have for property managers;
Let's say 10 properties were in service all year and then got disabled last week December, then you annual reports dont include revenue and PM commission?
Now I have properties that we don't manage and I have to keep as active just so I can get accurate reporting;
Triggers for Reports would be great. I'd love to see a daily report emailed to myself. Owners would love a weekly/monthly sales report automatically emailed.

I would like to see an extended calendar on inquires. I have gap rules, and sometimes the calendar does not show how large the gaps are with other bookings. Here is an example: If someone makes an inquiry for Sunday-Friday, the calendar shows only one week, starting Sunday, ending Saturday. So I have no idea by a quick look if that reservation would leave gap nights, because the calendar doesn't extend far enough. I would like to see a full week BEFORE the reservation being requested, and a full week AFTER the check-out date.
I'm not seeing that there's any condition of a quote or inquiry that makes sense for a trigger to be made for, such as the quote not made into a booking. So I don't see how anything can be done with this.
Inquiry Triggers were released earlier this year, and quote triggers were released earlier this week! I'm marking this one as Released as there are multiple trigger types and options.
We plan to do more around triggers - including some follow-ups to inquiry and quote triggers - and lots more messaging features!
Quote Triggers was released earlier this week. It can do just what you're looking for and be able to follow-up with the prospective guest if there was a quote generated in OwnerRez.
You can send yourself a message as a reminder, also - whether Immediate or Scheduled - to be able to follow-up as desired.

A feature you can enable on the booking widget that would allow inquiring guests that are sharing the home with other families/groups to generate a cost estimate per family staying at the home, based on the total price generated through the booking widget.
The calculator would split the cost once the guest adds their desired dates, # of adults, contact info, etc. to the widget.
Bonus: This price can then be emailed to the other parties they are splitting with (or at the very least there's an easy "copy" button).
I’d love to be able to scroll horizontally with my mouse pad in the Ribbon View. Instead of always having to go and drag the icon. Not the end of the world, but hey, it would be nice. (-;

We recently went through the most cancelled bookings ever experienced due to Hurricane Helene in WNC. As a result, Airbnb systematically cancelled bookings without approval under their Disaster Protocol. I am trying to get a tally of the refunds from canceled bookings, but when Airbnb cancels the booking, it zeros the amount out on OR. It would be great if OR could catalog (maybe an added tab) where the original booking amounts can be referenced for looking back if this happens again. Also, it is a great way to check to see if the partial refund amounts are correct. Thank you.
Shawn, any update on this? It is quiet the hassle to re-enable a property, and the risk that come with doing that (like a freak potential of a booking) then disable it just to get historical data.

Right now you can only use the Dyamic photo layout template with a multi-property website template. I would like to use this template for single property website.
As a work-around, I am using a multi-property website but this creates a home landing page that lists all the properties, which is fine for multi-property sites but doesn't look great for single property sites.
This is the link to the template in the support section that I am referring to. https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/websites-hosted-website-multi-property-dynamic-photo-layout-option
Thanks
Premise: We spend a lot of time loading up and setting triggers for our customizable email templates. Most of the time, those are the same messages I send via the channels as well. I wish there was a way to create channel messages from the email templates and vice versa. For example, if I had 5 messages built out, it would be great to be able to simply check the boxes, and have a copy into channel button that allows me to duplicate those messages into a channel.

I would like to request adding the ability to control the name of the URLs for blog categories. Currently for hosted websites it appears that all blog category pages keep the same name websiteaddress.com/blog/randomnumberassignedtocategory. Would it be possible to make this editable?
I would like for SEO for these categories to be able to be changed so that my title tags don't look duplicative.
I am trying to add a pet policy agreement for signing into my legal agreements and I see you have figured out a way to do that with the custom fields option (which I am just starting to learn about). Would you be able to explain how you merge this? Would be so helpful! Thank you!
I've noted that my deposit dates in the Payment Detail report are a day off of when they actually occurred, and I think it's because OwnerRez displays the Zulu (UTC) time rather than the time of where the transaction occurred. My feature request or recommendation would be to adjust this time to the time zone where the transaction occurred so that it is consistent with the bank statement deposit date.
Jimmy
I noted that there aren't any reports that display the external booking ID so that one could map the external booking ID to the internal OwnerRez IDs. There are some situations where this would be helpful so I'd ask that at least ONE of the reports that also displays the internal IDs incorporate this piece of information.
Thanks,
Jimmy
Is there a way to get notificaton from OwnerRez? I find I have to continually look at the website
Hi Jen,
OwnerRez system alerts (notifications) are sent via system email and/or the OwnerRez Progressive Web App (PWA) mobile push notifications via your browser.
More info on that subject can be found here:
https://www.ownerrez.com/support/articles/my-account-alerts-overview
Sounds like you may be looking specifically for Push Notifications. Here's how to set that up for yourself if you haven't already done so:

Hope this helps!
I own a vacation rental business so am not the owner of my rentals, but manage over 75 properties. Prior to running payments through ownerrez, I required 50% of the rental amount down as non-refundable. Since I have been using ownerrez, the way it is set up is that we have to get 50% down of ALL fees (5% administrative fee, 9% Lodging Tax, refundable damage deposit and cleaning, pet fees) when technically only 50% of the rental fee and 5% are non-refundable should someone need to cancel. I am not a fan of collecting the 1/2 of the other fees up front and holding onto for as long as a year and many renters do not like having to put down so much more up front (even though I do refund 1/2 of other fees should they need to cancel). We inquired about this back in 2020, again a couple of years ago and am requesting assistance again now. Thank you very much.

So far AI is not only garbage for customer support, it CREATES problems.
I've been to a number of support sites that integrated AI to answer customer questions and still haven't found a single AI solution that actually provided useful information.
Worse, it provided incorrect and inaccurate information which sent me chasing red herrings for hours and wasted time and resources.
I'm sure AI will be more useful for customer support in the future but it's not nearly close yet.
A better use of integrating AI is what Zapier and Airtable do.
Zapier uses AI to create automated zap workflows that integrate with APIs from other services, including Ownerrez. You just give Zapier a prompt and it sets up all the API calls and creates a zap workflows for you! It too still needs some help but it's a lot better than trying to figure it out on your own from nothing.
Airtable has a winning formula too, which enhances their core competencies. In fact you can create a brand new Airtable account and use the AI wizard to create an entire application with input forms, user interfaces, relational databases and some intelligent application features you might not have considered. Just give it a prompt like "Create an application to send SMS messages to guests containing door codes on the date of their arrival when the booking has been paid." It will build that entire thing for you. Then you just figure out how to connect the Ownerrez API with Airtable to do lookups (hint, Zapier can do this using their AI powered zaps).
Ownerrez would be wise to just integrate AI for customer service with another company that already specializes in CRM management and instead focus on using AI to set up channel management, property management, team management, stuff that should be the core competencies of a channel manager / PM system.
