If you're wondering about how to do that, just ask us directly.  We can certainly help you import your existing inquiry and booking records so that your record-keeping is seamless.  There are several different methods depending on where you are coming from and what they support; we'll help you figure out the best way.

We want you to leverage the power of our reports and marketing tools in such a way that you can compare your new bookings with the old ones, which means importing old data.  We're happy to help and you'll see that after switching over!

There are times when some functionality in OwnerRez may not exactly match the functionality of the system you came from.  This could be because it's hidden or different in our system, or it may be something already in development.  We have even implemented new features for just-joined users when presented with an obstacle or workflow that was difficult to transition from. Can I test OwnerRez while I'm still using some other channel manager?

Yes!  You can normally use iCal calendar imports, Channel Bridge, and Excel import templates to bring in your guest and booking information, so you can see what it looks like in OwnerRez and confirm that it is all there before you fully switch over to using OwnerRez in place of your previous channel manager.

How do I handle existing bookings that have partially paid but haven't taken place yet?

Records of existing charges and payments can be brought into OwnerRez using Channel Bridge and Excel import templates. For security reasons, it is not possible to import guest credit card information, but once the charge and payment data has been imported, OwnerRez can be configured to automatically reach out to your guests asking them to re-enter their credit card information for the remaining balance when it is due.

OwnerRez is designed to have guests e-sign a Rental Agreement.  It doesn't automatically do this for imported pre-existing bookings, but you can request this from your existing guests if desired.

Can I import guest payment information?
