Copy Your Existing Hosted Website

Occasionally, you may need to update your website as you add or remove properties. But sometimes, starting over with a new hosted website may be more practical. However, that choice may be daunting.

Not only can you copy your existing hosted website, but you can also switch the newly duplicated website from a Single to a Multi-property or vice versa during the process!

  • If you don't convert this newly copied hosted website from Single to Multi-property or vice versa, all webpages will remain the same as your old hosted website.
  • If you change your newly copied hosted website from Single to Multi-property or vice versa, the system will reset webpages and widgets to accommodate this change. A warning callout below the dropdown menu will include, "If you change the type of website to [single or multiple], some pages will be reset to accommodate [single or multiple] properties."

Copy your existing hosted website, by navigating to Settings > My Website > Hosted Websites > and select which Hosted Website you want to copy by clicking on the Copy Existing Website dropdown menu.
