The OwnerRez Safeguards area allows you to configure your account security settings, including two-factor authentication. This protects your rental business from unauthorized access, preventing financial loss, booking manipulation, and guest data breaches. It also ensures that only you can access sensitive property information, reservations, and payment details.
Navigate to your Preferences area by clicking on the upper right Profile dropdown menu and selecting Safeguards.
Idle Session Timeout
For your OwnerRez account security, consider enabling a timeout in your OwnerRez app or having your device's screen locked automatically.
Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication enhances your OwnerRez account security by requiring more than just a password to log in. You can use an authenticator app or email, which is enabled by default.
Support Code
If you contact the OwnerRez helpdesk from an unrecognized email address, you can generate a one-time code valid for one week to verify your account access. To generate an account Support Code, navigate to your Profile > Safeguards > Support Code, and click Generate.
On the Generate Support Code pop-up, click Generate Code.
Click the copy icon to copy your Support Code on the Support Code Generated pop-up and share your Support Code with the OwnerRez Helpdesk team.
Your generated Support Code is valid for one week. The OwnerRez Helpdesk team can verify your Support Code to confirm your account access.
Lost Device?
If you lose a device or want to ensure no one on another device is logged into your OwnerRez account, you can log out everywhere and then log back in on just this device.
