How your rates and nightly pricing are displayed to potential guests may have an effect on your bookings and users can make changes to customize how their property rates/nightly pricing are displayed to potential guests.
Pricing Preferences
To set Pricing Preferences, users can navigate to Settings > Pricing > Pricing Preferences.
On the Change Pricing Preferences page, users can accomplish the following.
- Set their preferred Weekend Nights from the drop-down list. Want to apply specific Weekend Nights by property? See the Weekend Nights support article.
- Select the Rent Taxability is Taxable (default) or Not-Taxable by choosing the appropriate button. This selection controls whether "Rent" charge line items are taxable or not when generating charges for quotes or bookings or adding additional nights, such as extending a stay.
- Determining whether the minimum night rules in the Evaluate Rules should be by Arrival Night Only (default) or All Nights of Stay by selecting the appropriate button.
- Determining whether the pricing rules for the Channel Default Rate should the Maximum Nightly Rates (default) or the Minimum Nightly Rates by selecting the appropriate button.

How Guests See Charges
On the How Guests See Charges section of the Change Pricing Preferences page, users can make the following choices.
- On Quotes & Bookings sent to guests, users can select whether to display a detailed breakdown (default) or combine all of the lines for each category listed below together with a custom description of the users' choice.
- Rent
- Surcharges
- Discounts
- Taxes

On Widgets
The On Widgets section configures how you want to display pricing on Hosted Websites, Integrated Websites, or websites using the WordPress Plugin. Users can select whether to display a detailed breakdown (default) or combine all of the lines for each category listed below with a custom description of their choice.- Rent
- Surcharges
- Discounts
- Taxes
Don't forget to hit Save.
Users should note that once they make the selection to combine taxes, discounts, or surcharges into a single total, the widgets no longer interweave surcharges, discounts, and taxes. Instead, they list them in order with surcharges first, then all the discounts, and finally taxes. The calculations are still correct, only the display order is affected.
Once combined into a single total, you can't insert a surcharge, discount, or tax in the middle of the total without changing the settings in Settings > Pricing > Pricing Preferences > On Widgets, and selecting Detailed breakdown.
