Steps for Integration
This setup ensures a secure and seamless integration between OwnerRez and the CookinGenie Partner Portal, allowing authorized data exchange while maintaining security best practices.
Step 1: Create an Account on the CookinGenie Partner Portal
Navigate to partner.cookingenie.com and sign up for an account with your personal details.
Step 2: Connect OwnerRez with CookinGenie Partner Portal
In CookinGenie, navigate to Integrations → OwnerRez and click ‘Connect’ on the OwnerRez tile.
You will be automatically re-directed to OwnerRez login screen. (if not already logged in). Once logged in, follow the authentication prompts to connect OwnerRez with CookinGenie.
Post-Authorization Data Sync
• Once authorization is completed, Property data will automatically sync from OwnerRez to CookinGenie. You can select any property to view details.• By clicking the Edit button, you can also upload kitchen photos, add accessories, and include notes for that property.
Adding Custom Fields in Guest Communication
To enhance guest communication, follow these steps to insert CookinGenie’s customized code in OwnerRez guest messaging templates:
Pre-steps:
Navigate to the Partner Portal and access the property list screen.- A preview window will appear, allowing partners to visualize how the CookinGenie banner will look within guest emails.
- Click the Copy button within the preview window to copy the customized HTML code.
- A confirmation message will appear once the code has been successfully copied.
Step 1: Send Confirmation to Guest System Message in OwnerRez
You can add your copied CookinGenie’s customized code to OwnerRez guest messaging templates by navigating to Settings > Messaging > System Messages > Send Confirmation to Guest, clicking on the ‘Action’ button, and selecting "Change Message."
Step 2: Insert Custom code in HTML editor
On the Change System Message screen, click on the ‘Edit HTML source’ icon.
Paste your copied CookinGenie HTML code and click Update.
Save the Send Confirmation to Guest system message. You can preview your guest email template after the update by clicking on the “Preview” button at the top of the screen.
