Clarifying what “deprecated” means for Converge users
Body
Hey [first name]!
We’ve received some questions about our recent email regarding Converge, so we want to clarify what “deprecated” means in this case.
Deprecated does NOT mean:
- Converge will be shut off
- You must switch now
- There is a deadline to change processors
Your existing Converge connection will continue to work as it does today, and you may keep using it for the foreseeable future.
What deprecated DOES mean:
- Converge is no longer a recommended or supported gateway in OwnerRez
- No new Converge connections are being added
- We are no longer investing development time into maintaining or updating the integration
If an issue is caused by OwnerRez, we will fix it. If an issue is caused by Converge’s systems or APIs, it will not be investigated by our team, nor will we update to their new APIs if they sunset or change the existing ones.
This is why we’re being proactive. Converge often works fine…until it doesn’t. When edge-case processing errors occur, Converge’s development team has not been responsive, leaving us unable to resolve certain issues on your behalf.
You are not required to move to Lynnbrook or any specific processor. We mentioned Lynnbrook because they are deeply integrated with OwnerRez and offered a limited-time incentive to help Converge users transition. Other supported options, such as Stripe, PayPal, and more, are also available.
Our goal is transparency, giving you time to plan and avoid being forced into a change under pressure later due to an error we cannot resolve for you.
If you have questions or want help reviewing your options, our team is happy to help.
