Important: Booking.com Rates Updated Due to Sync Issue

We want to inform you about an issue that occurred earlier today affecting some Booking.com (BDC) accounts.

Earlier today, we released an update to the Booking.com integration that introduced additional sync modes. Unfortunately, part of that change unintentionally affected listings currently configured with the “Limited (Legacy)” sync mode.

As a result, surcharges and taxes configured in OwnerRez were pushed to Booking.com, which may have overwritten any fees or taxes that were previously configured directly in Booking.com.

A fix has already been released to prevent this from happening going forward.

What you should do

If you use the Booking.com integration, please review your charges and taxes to ensure they are correct.

You have two options:

Option 1 - Update your fees in Booking.com

Review your fees and taxes directly in Booking.com and adjust them there if needed.

Option 2 - Manage surcharges through OwnerRez like other channels

Review and confirm the surcharges and taxes configured in OwnerRez, then change the Sync Mode on your Booking.com channel integration to either:

  • Rates & Availability, or
  • Everything

These modes will allow OwnerRez to push surcharges and taxes to Booking.com.

Please note that switching away from Limited (Legacy) is a one-way change and cannot be reverted.
