Disable a Channel Integration

Disabling a channel integration allows you to stop taking bookings on that listing channel (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, etc.) while maintaining your property information in OwnerRez. In this support article, we will review how to disable or delist a channel integration.

Before considering disabling your property in OwnerRez, we recommend that you pause/delist any channel integrations in OwnerRez, such as Airbnb or Vrbo. If your channel-integrated listings are not paused/delisted, they are considered active and can still accept bookings.

Disable

Disabling a channel stops all connections and updates between OwnerRez and the listing channel. Reactivating may take several hours to resync. If you're removing the connection, ensure your listing is also removed from the channel after disabling it in OwnerRez. It's best not to disable it if you plan to use the channel again soon.

To disable a channel integration, navigate to Settings > Channel Management > Channel Integrations > the specific channel integration you want to disable, and click the Disable button.

To disable a channel integration, navigate to the specific channel integration (Settings > Channel Management > Channel Integrations > the specific channel integration you want to disable) and click the Disable button.

A pop-up will appear asking you if you want to disable the channel. Click OK.A pop-up will appear asking you if you want to disable the channel. Click OK.

Unpublish

Unpublishing temporarily hides your listing but keeps the sync active between OwnerRez and the listing channel. Not all channel integrations provide the option to unpublish; you might only be able to disable.

If available, unpublish a channel integration by navigating to Settings > Channel Management > Channel Integrations > the specific channel integration you want to unpublish > Properties tab > Change Listing Status dropdown list, and clicking Unpublish. If available, unpublish a channel integration by navigating to the specific channel integration (Settings > Channel Management > Channel Integrations > the specific channel integration you want to unpublish > Properties tab > Change Listing Status dropdown list) and clicking Unpublish.

After you unpublish, you'll notice the Listing Status column, which appears next to the Sync Status and shows either an active or an inactive label. After you unpublish, you'll notice the Listing Status column, which appears next to the Sync Status and shows either an active or an inactive label.

The Listing Status column shows the listing's real-time status on the listing channel side, and the Publish/Unpublish Listing options let you change it. This is a high-level on/off toggle for your listing's visibility on the public side of the listing channel.

Note that Sync Status and Listing Status are two separate things.

  • Sync Status indicates whether OwnerRez and the listing channel are communicating for a particular property.
  • Listing Status indicates whether the listing is visible to guests on the listing channel.

Reactivate

If available, you may be able to reactivate a disabled or unpublished channel integration. Reactivating may take several hours to resync.

To reactivate a listing channel integration, navigate to Settings > Channel Management > Channel Integrations > the specific channel integration you want to reactivate, and click the Reactivate button. To reactivate a listing channel integration, navigate to Settings > Channel Management > Channel Integrations > the specific channel integration you want to reactivate, and click the Reactivate button.Once reactivated, follow the instructions in our Change Property Mappings support article to ensure your properties are properly reconnected to the listing channel.
