Booking.com Request to Book (RTB) - Verifying RTB on Channel
Some hosts may have eligible properties connected to the Booking.com (BDC) API that are able to be toggled to Request to Book (RTB) even though our API currently does not support this. For the purpose of being able to have Request to Book on Airbnb, we have added a checkbox to the Booking.com API to mask the channel as RTB so it doesn't conflict with Airbnb's requirements. Note that there may be some, but not all, properties on the BDC API that are RTB. This is fine. As long as we can confirm that at least one property on that connection is truly RTB by confirming so on the listing itself, we can check the box for them.
The checkbox is found in Settings > API Integrations > Booking.com > click Change > scroll to the bottom. You will see a pink admin only box.
Before checking the box, you need to verify that a listing on this connection is truly RTB. View the live listing on BDC by clicking the Hotel ID of the property mapped to the Booking.com API in OwnerRez.
Check for available dates for that property in OR, and punch those into your search on the BDC listing. You will be able to tell whether or not the property is RTB by scrolling down to the availability calendar again once dates have been entered. For example, this property is Instant Book. We can tell, because it states "Confirmation is immediate".
Trying another property using available dates in the search, we can confirm that this listing is in fact Request to Book.
NOTE: For other channels, on the following list, "checked" means the system has that RTB box "checked" and it is not needed on an individual page. If a client has an issue with an unchecked channel, that is on the channel to sync the RTB status
